Worst Dentist in the state of VA! Run! His dental hygentist is his wife and she's got the brains of a two year old. He has an anger problem and acts like a crazy person. Seriously, do your self a favor and go to a REAL DENTIST NOT THIS QUACK! He can't keep employees because he's nutz and so is his unstable wife. They can't keep anyone in the practice or employees. If I could give them half a star that would be too much.

I have been going to Dr Lipscomb for years and, despite the basement location not being the most pleasant and street parking, have never thought of changing dentists because Dr Lipscomb and his team are so wonderful. He's communicative, laid back, and focused on making the experience as painless as possible. My appointment to fill 2 cavities today took place as I am 31 weeks pregnant causing me to have an abnormal reaction to the needle/anesthetic and my blood pressure tanked. The team didn't miss a beat- they got a cold compress for my forehead, ice behind my neck, tilted me back in the chair, and the dr manually fanned me until I felt better. Remainder of the appointment went without issue and they checked on me often just to make sure I was ok. This could have been a scary experience, but the team know what they're doing and truly care.

The staff is caring and quick, and Dr. Lipscomb is amazing at what he does. The practice is very patient-centric. Highly recommend.

Just left Shockoe Dentistry and I am in LOVE with my smile! My dentist me exactly the results I was looking for while making sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. Each time I am here, the staff is always very helpful and friendly. So long as I live in RVA, this will be my dentist office! They are affordable and offer a wide range of services too!

I've been going to Shockoe Dentistry for a couple of years and consistently have a pleasant experience! The entire staff is so nice and welcoming, and I always feel I'm receiving the best care. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Dr Lipscomb for 15 years. He and his staff are amazing professionals, friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. I have never left his office without the answers I needed or regret. Fair prices too. Just be sure to be early if you are going to the downtown office. Finding parking in the city can be challenging.

I have been going here for a few years now and they are always super great. Very professional, friendly, and never pressure me into anything. They always give an honest opinion and are very trustworthy. I would definitely recommend seeing them!

Recently received a letter essentially stating that the dentist is breaking up with me as I missed too many appointments. Firstly the first appointment was canceled due to the person that had my new phone number canceled it via text message when the reminder was sent. Second the dentist was trying to charge me $750 for a scan that my orthodontist was able to provide you with already. Lastly the final straw was an appointment booked on the 9th at 830 but it was then communicated that it was for the 19th, even though I had been there on the 9th the office was not open. I then got a text to confirm the appointment for the 19th at 830 i did not respond, they then shifted it to 9 am and are now trying to bill me for the appointment i did not attend even thought they stipulated thst they were going to cancel it!. Unfortunately i am unable to post screen shots of the text that i have with thr two different times. You have full permission to make it public as if i was wrong i have no problem admitting i was incorrect. Also i have never received an email from your office.

i went in for an crown for a tooth after i got a root canal. Not only did he work on the wrong tooth but he shaved down my tooth so much that i had no choice but to get it extracted. In my early 30s Not only does it effect my smile for the rest of my life but now i have to pay thousands of dollars to get it fixed elsewhere in addition to getting a crown on my root canal ! I left with an extraction that i didn't ask for and i still have a temporary fill from the root canal specialist that the doctor completely ignored. I left in tears and now i have to pay for work on tooth #13 instead of #31. And he was nonchalant about it. "Oh well that was a part of your treatment plan". And don't address me, i don't want a rebuttal.

Absolutely horrible experience. I got two cavities done and now I'm in a ton of pain. When I mentioned that I was in pain he mentioned "well that is why you signed the waiver" DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!
