Dr. Thomas completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Utah University where with distinction, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He then continued his education at the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry wherehe excelled in pediatric dentistry. He received membership in the Universitys Pediatric Dental Honors Program and the prestigious J. Dean Robertson Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Thomas went on to complete his Residency in Pediatric Dentistry atChildrens Mercy Hospital. Immediately after graduating from residency, he was honored and accepted a position as an Attending Pediatric Dentist atCMH. He still today holds a position with the CMH medical staff. Dr. Thomas is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He takes pride in his work and making Shoal Creek the best pediatric dental office in Kansas City.
In orderto increase his knowledge in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Thomas maintains a membership with both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Thomas also maintains his Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification every two years. He, along with the SCPD dental staff, maintain their CPR certification as we are dedicated to providing your child with the best dental care possible in a safe and effective environment.
Cost of treatment will depend on the severity of the patients treatment needs. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We work hard to make dental care affordable and to make sure that you realize your insurance benefits.
We accept assignment from most insurance companies. As a courtesy to you, our office will file the necessary paperwork with your insurance company. It is your responsibility to provide our office with the necessary information relative to your insurance plan. Services not covered by your insurance company must be paid for at the time of service. Professional care is provided to the patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to you and you are responsible to Shoal Creek Pediatric Dentistry. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf, but you are ultimately responsible for payment of services rendered to your child.
