Jennifer graduated from Choffin Career Center in Youngstown in 2005. She has been with Dr. Shivers ever since! She holds a CDA, x-ray certification, coronal polishing license, and sealants certification. She graduated from Case Western Reserve in 2008 with her EFDA qualifications. She is licensed through the Ohio State Dental Board to place fillings. She and her family reside here in Salem.
Anita graduated from Ohio Valley College of Technology in December of 2003. She earned her CDA Certification through the Dental Assisting National Board in December 2008. She then went on to Case Western Reserve University for her EFDA Certification and graduated in May 2010. She has a license in Radiology as well and certificates in coronal polishing and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring that were obtained through Choffin Career Center in Youngstown. In her spare time, she loves being a grandmother and spending time with her family.
Amy graduated from WLSC in 1986 with a Dental Hygiene degree. She has been employed with Shivers Dentistry for 28 years. She has been married to Mitch for 33 years. They have 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. They reside in Chester, WV.
Janie graduated from YSU in 1998 with a degree in dental hygiene. She has been employed with Shivers Dentistry since 1998. She resides in East Liverpool with her husband, Jason and daughters Sarah and Ava.

It had unfortunately been a long time since I had my teeth professionally cleaned and surprisingly enough, it didn't hurt like I thought it would. Everyone there was very professional and polite. I will recommend Shivers' Dentistry to everyone that needs a great dentist!!

Was having pains due to an infection caused by a broken filling. Tried to make an appointment, but, due to mask mandates, was refused service. I offered work-arounds, like waiting outside until my appointment time, but was told that policy was policy. They stated it was for the safety of their staff and patients; though, CDC states in their page that you must be within 6 feet of someone with Covid for 20 min to contract the disease. Waiting in the car would have prevented any threat that may or may not have existed. Unfortunately, policy and fear mongering are more important than caring for a person in need

Everyone is very friendly. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The dentist explained procedures very well. I recomend this office to everyone.

I was in the area for three years and he was the only office near that offered Cerec. Since I've moved and found a new dentist, every single repair they did has failed miserably and one tooth had to be pulled. Today I have to have something fixed that he talked me into that wasn't even necessary. I would never recommend this office. And the hygienist is WAY too chatty.

I've never been able to use my dentures from day one they didn't really try to adjust them I.got new ones $2500 cheaper they were glad to adjust them 4 times working with me after a couple times at dr shivers they charged me they were til after they got my money definitely shop around I've worn my $4000 dentures maybe one hour

Not sure what Jennifer's problem is. I guess it was too much to ask to have a crown adjusted. I really have no idea why she made such a big deal about it? She made me feel like I was a problem patient, that I was being difficult, and that everything she did was perfect. Well I'm sorry, but every other tooth in my mouth is not the size of THAT crown you made for me. The tooth actually has a shelf of tooth on both sides of it and looks like a temporary crown because its so big. And then she talks to me like I'm an idiot.

Took my daughter to have x-rays and cleaning. She was pretty nervous, but the staff was great with her. They kept apologizing for the wait but didn't seem like a wait at all, at least not like I'm used to. It was actually a pretty quick appointment and my daughter left no longer afraid of the dentist.
