Dr. Milad Nourahmadi is at the forefront of dentistry in the Chicagoland area. He enjoys all fields of dentistry, including cosmetic and implant procedures. Dr. Nourahmadi is committed to spreading the message of oral health awareness and proper oral hygiene. Dr. Miller is a new addition to the Shining Smiles LLC family. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, but particularly loves cosmetic cases and improving patients confidence in their smiles. Her patients have vocalized their appreciation for her gentle touch and approachable nature. She ensures every patient is as comfortable as they can possibly be and empathizes with the common fear of the dentist. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied human nutrition. This background helps in educating patients on the correlation between their overall health and their oral health. Dr. Miller received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she was an active member in the Psi Omega fraternity and was one of a select few chosen to participate in a cosmetic study club led by a renowned cosmetic dentist.
In her free time, she enjoys running, Peloton workouts, spending time with friends and, of course, her infamous puppy, Calvin. She lives for the summer months and would rather be on a boat than anywhere else!
I like to think of myself as a people person, and because of that, I have been focusing my dentistry around people. I believe that whatever energy you put out there is the energy that you will be surrounded with, and because of that belief, I like to keep things light and as fun as possible. If Im not having fun doing something, Id rather not be doing it at all, so dont be surprised if theres a lot of laughing coming from wherever I am, even on the dental chair!
Dr. Kim graduated from the University of Iowa with honors in 2005, later receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Kim and his wife recently moved back to Chicago, where they love exploring everything that Chicago has to offer. They are expecting a little one very soon.
Dr. Gee grew up in a suburb of Detroit and received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During her time in dental school, she spent a lot of time volunteering to provide comprehensive dental care at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row in Los Angeles and was also a member of Psi Omega, Lucy Hobbs Dental Society, and the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Gee is also currently a member of the American Dental Association. Outside of her time practicing dentistry, Dr. Gee likes to cook, travel, and run. Dr. Gee is also fluent in Cantonese.
Dr Salman Javed, your Shining Smiles dentist in Wheaton, is a general dentist. He grew up in Naperville, Illinois and completed his undergraduate studies at Benedictine University, earning a Bachelors of Science. From there, he obtained a Masters of Arts in biomedical science at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, prior to graduating from Midwestern Universitys Dental School. He is also a certified Invisalign clear aligners provider.
Dr. Javeds philosophy in dentistry is fostering wonderful relationships with his patients and understanding their needs and concerns. Having built a relationship on trust and respect, he will advise them on the best possible treatment options for their dental needs.
In order to become the best practitioner that he can be, Dr. Javed continually seeks knowledge about the ever-changing field of dentistry. He is committed to taking continuing education courses and learning about the latest techniques and advancements in our field.

I have been looking for a dentist for quite awhile and decided to stop into shining smiles. I am so glad that I did. It. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the dentist is great! Just had my permanent crown placed and it is perfect. This is a professional and very clean dentist office. I'm happy to call it mine!

I am not a big fan of dentists and that's because I have mostly had very bad experiences. It always felt like they wanted to do more procedures than necessary. After four years of avoiding them (trust me, Covid was just an excuse for not seeing one), I eventually had to go to one. I did a lot of online research through my insurance and Google, and based on the positive reviews decided to given Shining Smiles in Wheaton a go. After four appointments, I can comfortably say it was a good decision. Dr. Javed was very easy to work with and he did a great job with my procedure. I never once got the impression that he was trying to force a procedure on me unnecessarily or was trying to do something without consulting with me. What makes this practice stand out even more is their support staff! Aamna, Gerrardo and Nancy were all extremely kind, capable and I loved working with them during my appointments. Huge shout out to the ladies on front desk too! Daisy, Ivonne and Yaveli, who coordinated all the appointments and insurance benefits! I talked to the office multiple times during the past two months, never got a rude or impolite response from anyone at the front desk. Thank you all for the awesome care!

My very first visit and I am VERY impressed and satisfied with the respectfulness and skill of the staff and the state-of-the-art equipment (e.g., digital X-ray using 90% LESS radiation). Dr. Javed is very personable, smart without being condescending or showy, well poised. The clinic itself is tastefully decorated, very clean & inviting, and furnished with cool stuff such as TV screens not only in front of the exam chairs, but also above on the ceiling. There's a play room with a doorway opening shaped like a molar! I think we'll keep coming back.

I just went today for my regular teeth cleaning with Dr Javed, and (as usual) I had an amazing experience! Everyone here is always amazingly kind and thoughtful, it's all around a great experience. I'm also a trans man however my legal name is not changed yet, and all I had to do was ask for my name and pronouns to be used and there was no issue with it! I'm used to doctors using my deadname constantly, but here, they always manage to make me feel welcome and taken care of : )

Dr. Javad is a phenomenal dentist, but this practice engages in unethical billing. They have no loyalty to their customers and will conveniently leave as in-network partners in the middle of the year without informing their patients what they will billed as for the next calendar year. Very disappointed, but not surprised when accepting $75 co-payments AND the 80/20% co-insurance for cleanings (when they've been free for the last 2 years!) ensures the staff is taken care of. It's never about the customer, just the bottom line here.

I've been coming here for years even after I moved far, I like the staff they are always friendly and attentive, the dentist is good and always explains things and I like the physical place itself, it's well maintained they have tvs in every room which helps distracts me when I'm anxious

Dr. Javed is just wonderful. Been taking my kids to see him for over three years now and each time we go we have a wonderful experience. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommend Shining Smiles in Wheaton. As a new patient I've never had a doctor who is super detailed and professional during my care. Along with staff, from the receptionists, medical assistants to also the manager Yvonne. Everyone is very welcoming! Highly recommend.
