Dr. Milad Nourahmadi is at the forefront of dentistry in the Chicagoland area. He enjoys all fields of dentistry, including cosmetic and implant procedures. His practice model has been used under his supervision at three successful dental practices, ten general ones, and specialist practitioners.Dr. Nourahmadi received his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Illinois and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts with honors in both philosophy and economics. This diverse knowledge base is what shapes his unique outlook. Dentistry is the field that combines the aesthetic requirements of art and the medical knowledge of science in order to create a positive impact in the lives of patients. Possessing a deep appreciation for both of these topics, Dr. Nourahmadi went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois and is currently licensed to practice in several states.His unique business background and passion for dentistry continually fuel his drive to help evolve current traditional dental business and office design models.
Dr. Nourahmadi is committed to spreading the message of oral health awareness and proper oral hygiene. He believes that by educating people, we can begin to prevent disease instead of simply treating and retreating it.Dr. Nourahmadi has been involved with the Northwest Community Hospital dental division, the Chicago Boys & Girls Club, and the Heartland Health Clinic. He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society (CDS), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the California Dental Association (CDA).
Dr. Miller is a new addition to the Shining Smiles LLC family. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, but particularly loves cosmetic cases and improving patients confidence in their smiles. Her patients have vocalized their appreciation for her gentle touch and approachable nature. She ensures every patient is as comfortable as they can possibly be and empathizes with the common fear of the dentist. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied human nutrition. This background helps in educating patients on the correlation between their overall health and their oral health. Dr. Miller received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she was an active member in the Psi Omega fraternity and was one of a select few chosen to participate in a cosmetic study club led by a renowned cosmetic dentist.
In her free time, she enjoys running, Peloton workouts, spending time with friends and, of course, her infamous puppy, Calvin. She lives for the summer months and would rather be on a boat than anywhere else!
I like to think of myself as a people person, and because of that, I have been focusing my dentistry around people. I believe that whatever energy you put out there is the energy that you will be surrounded with, and because of that belief, I like to keep things light and as fun as possible. If Im not having fun doing something, Id rather not be doing it at all, so dont be surprised if theres a lot of laughing coming from wherever I am, even on the dental chair!
Dr. Kim graduated from the University of Iowa with honors in 2005, later receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Kim and his wife recently moved back to Chicago, where they love exploring everything that Chicago has to offer. They are expecting a little one very soon.
Dr. Gee grew up in a suburb of Detroit and received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During her time in dental school, she spent a lot of time volunteering to provide comprehensive dental care at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row in Los Angeles and was also a member of Psi Omega, Lucy Hobbs Dental Society, and the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Gee is also currently a member of the American Dental Association. Outside of her time practicing dentistry, Dr. Gee likes to cook, travel, and run. Dr. Gee is also fluent in Cantonese.
Dr Salman Javed, your Shining Smiles dentist in Wheaton, is a general dentist. He grew up in Naperville, Illinois and completed his undergraduate studies at Benedictine University, earning a Bachelors of Science. From there, he obtained a Masters of Arts in biomedical science at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, prior to graduating from Midwestern Universitys Dental School. He is also a certified Invisalign clear aligners provider.
Dr. Javeds philosophy in dentistry is fostering wonderful relationships with his patients and understanding their needs and concerns. Having built a relationship on trust and respect, he will advise them on the best possible treatment options for their dental needs.
In order to become the best practitioner that he can be, Dr. Javed continually seeks knowledge about the ever-changing field of dentistry. He is committed to taking continuing education courses and learning about the latest techniques and advancements in our field.
When he is not in the dental office, Dr. Javed enjoys spending time with his two children and wife. He enjoys traveling and admiring the art and architecture of different places. Some of his hobbies include being outdoors, drawing, listening to great music and watching good movies. Mostly, he likes to enjoy life!

Great Staff! Thank you Gabriela and Dentist for cleaning my children teeth!! We currently don't have insurance but there was an offer for cleaning, exam and x-rays for $80. Thank you again.

If anyone is looking for a kids dentist- I HIGHLY recommend Dr Amin and one of his nurses Laura at Shining Smiles in bolingbrook, Seriously can't put into words how grateful I am for them today! It is so hard having 3 kids under 6 at the dentist and our last appt was BRUTAL. Today Laura and Dr Amin spent so much time getting all 3 of the kids warmed up and feeling comforted and I can't thank them enough for being so great with them today! Laura was seriously AMAZING. Highly highly recommend this place!!!

My son's appointment time was at 2pm. All we were having done was 2 cavities filled however this "dentist" worked on my son until 4:30!! There were issues from the start though, there's so many I'll just list them so it's easier to read. 1. The woman who set up our room mentioned that she has to use her own Netflix login because the new management wouldn't be providing that for the customers any longer. 2. There were issues with the tool that sprays the water, and since it wasn't working and they couldn't figure it out, they had to bring in a couple other employees to try and fix it all the while we were sitting there. (This took them about 25 min) 3. Once we got started, I noticed the dental team switching out their rubber gloves often however even when the garbage can was full, they continued to add used gloves to it making it overflow and fall onto the floor. (See pictured) 4. Since our visit was taking longer than usual, I ended up using the bathroom. To my dismay, that room was dirty and clearly not taken care of properly as there were no paper towels to dry your hands, no air freshener and dirty floors. 5. At hour 2 I kindly asked the dentist what was taking so long and whether something had happened. I as the parent who's in the room should be kept up to date on what the dentist is doing, whether there's complications or whatnot. The dentist looked up at me and very rudely told me I could go wait in the waiting room. I replied back, "no, I just want to know if something went wrong and why filling 2 cavities were taking 2+ hours". 6. The dentist ignored my question (so rude and made me, the client, feel uncomfortable) After working on my son for another 25 minutes the dentist finally admitted what he had accidentally done. The reason filling 2 cavities were taking so long was because once the dentist had filled the 2nd cavity, he realized that some band type thing he had used to hold something in place was STILL under the cavity!! He said the teeth wouldn't touch after and THAT'S when he realized what he had done. He had to RE-DRILL out the filling to remove this object and then RE-FILLED the cavity!! How inexperienced are you as a dentist if you forget to remove something from a patient's mouth and just fill in over it?!!? Then on top of that NOT communicate with the parent sitting right there why it's taking so long??? My son's mouth was SO sore for the next 24 hours because of that dentist's incompetence. We will NEVER go back to this dentist, and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family about our experience.

My children and I have been coming to Shining Smiles for several years now and we absolutely love how kind and outgoing the staff is. The center is always very clean and tidy. We also love the televisions in every room, it really helps to take your mind off the task at hand and as well as make the time fly. I highly recommend Shining Smiles for your every day dental needs.

I just wanted to say me being a picky mom when it comes to my children's dentist I can say that I am completely satisfied with the one that we have selected. All the young ladies at the front desk are so kind and very helpful with everything. Gema is such an amazing dental assistant. She did both on my boys exam and cleaning on 04/19/2022. My boys could not Stop talking about how sweet and kind she was. And I cannot stop talking about the great job she did with them both and how patient she was with them. Dr. Chug and Miguel did a phenomenal job on my son's filling today. Talking to him throughout the process about his favorite game ( Fortnite )that he plays on his gaming system. We didn't even realize that they finished so quickly. Dr. Chug got some great Ideas of how to win playing Fortnite . Over all these individuals have made everyone of our visits a phenomenal visit. I would highly recommend ShiningSmiles Dentistry to everyone. Never leave but if you do please let us know where you guys go therefore we can continue to set appointments with you.

BEST DENTIST AND STAFF in the Bolingbrook area!!! I walked in with my 4yr old to a warm and friendly welcome. I loved how clean and neat the waiting area was. There was a beautiful mini coffee bar and T.V area set up. The receptionists were so sweet, helpful, and answered all my questions and concerns I had. We went to the back were we again were welcomed with more amazing and friendly staff members. Then came in the DOCTOR which was AMAZING and took very great care of my 4 year old!! I will definitely be back with the rest of my family.

Confirmed with staff prior to my visit that the accepted my insurance. I even completed all of my documentation virtually, prior to my visit. I went in due to severe tooth pain. The dentist ( who was very nice) confirmed I needed a root canal, in addition to other work.The dentist also confirmed there was an infection. Next, a staff member showed me a treatment plan. In the plan, my insurance was only covering about 25% of the total costs. She then indicated I was "out of network " which still wouldn't explain the cost on the treatment plans. Once I indicated I would goes somewhere in network to have the work done. A discount was offered. Seemed really shady. When I indicated I was not interested in the discount. The staff member still wanted to clean my teeth... I was in pain and indicated sensitivity. No prescription for pain medication or antibiotics was offered. I work in healthcare, this is not how people in pain should be treated.

I had a very pleasant experience at Shining Smiles. Dr. Jain was very understanding of my issues and laid down all the options that I had. I highly recommend Dr. Jain and Shining Smiles for a thorough and honest examination of your teeth. I will definately visit again.
