Dr. Bobby Cox is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and subsequently completed his advanced specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and Community Outreach at the Oishei Childrens Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
Although Dr. Bobby spent 6 years of his life in Buffalo, NY, he was born and raised on a farm in a small town in Michigan. Dr. Bobby has always had a passion for leadership, community service and care. He has held multiple leadership positions throughout his entire life including high school student-body President, dental school study-body Vice-President, and Chief Resident in residency. He participated in multiple community service programs throughout high school, undergrad, dental school, and residency.
With his mother being a nurse, he always had an interest in medicine and decided in high school that he wanted to pair his passion for serving others with his interest in medicine by becoming a dentist. While studying Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University, he discovered his love and passion for the pediatric population by attending a mission trip to Panama with a pediatric dentist where he aided in providing care to children in orphanages. Shortly after discovering this passion, he volunteered at St. Jude Childrens Hospital spending time with patients with terminal illnesses.

We absolutely love Shine! Most of the staff knows who we are and are super friendly and welcoming every time we go in. With 5 kids 2 who see Ortho and Dental, we are in a lot!

Everyone is so nice & understanding there whether it is the secretaries at front, the dental assistants or the doctors. I love how they explain everything to you, while also being very gentle, fun and caring with the kids. super cool game area for the kids, my son loves it there!

Our daughter needed a tooth pulled and had never been to a dentist before. They were all super amazing! Our daughter was so scared to go but once she was in there she was all smiles. They knew just what to say to make her feel super comfortable. Even the shots they gave her to pull her tooth were done with such great empathy. I will recommend them to anyone needing a pediatric dentist or orthodontist!! They also have a awesome Game Center for the kids to play while they wait!

First time for my kids to visit the dentist and this place was beyond my expectations! The receptionist was more than helpful with all my questions. Miss Kylie was excellent with my daughter. And Dr. Bobby was so awesome and patient with my son screaming during his lap exam lol! I love that they support many different Christian missions and the giveaways and games are fun. We will be returning for sure

We came across this practice my chance, it was the first one out insurance company suggested. So glad we are patients. The staff is so wonderful to my kids who are toddlers. Dr. Bobby and Dr. Mitchual are naturals with kids. My almost 3 year old can't wait to go to the dentist. I only wish I had a practice like this to go to when I was a child.

This office is A-mazing!! There's an entire game room upstairs for the kids (and parents apparently since my husband disappeared up there too) and so many fun ways for the kids to win prizes. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and best of all was the doctor himself, Dr Bobby Cox. Dr Cox is the best dentist we have ever had, and we've seen MANY! Dr Cox is patient, knowledgeable, and really listened to all of my concerns. My 6 year old was anxious going in today but left with a big smile and asking when we get to come back. We will never go to another Dental office again and have already scheduled one of our other kiddos as well! A++

Brought my 18 month old daughter here for her first visit and had such an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly as well. While we waited there was a variety of things for her to do including arcade games, books, toys, and a slide. She loved every minute of it and even got a prize to pick out when she left. Highly recommend to parents for all age children.

I cannot say enough great things about this office! It is so welcoming and kid friendly and they really think of every detail to make your child comfortable. I was nervous my 3 year old daughter would be hesitant/afraid of her first dental visit, but from the minute she walked in she was comfortable and not afraid at all. All of the staff is amazing, and we look forward to seeing Dr. Bobby again soon! Seriously, such a great office. I drove about 30 minutes from Scottsdale just to come here and I can't wait to do it again!

The staff and dentist were very attentive, quick, and caring. They spent their time with each of my kiddos and my kids felt very happy with their experience even though they were nervous due to a previous experience at another practice. We will stay patients here for sure! Oh, and the games upstairs were a huge bonus too

We have been going to Shine Orthodontics for almost 8 years now. We recently moved and I will still make the drive just to go here. I take all of my children there and extremely happy with the care they receive. The entire staff is phenomenal and they go above and beyond for their patients. Everyone from the front desk, billing/insurance, dental assistants and dentists are so professional and kind! My kids see Dr. Sam and she is the absolute sweetest.The kids actually enjoy visiting the dentist which is great for me! It's extremely kid friendly and the kids always ask to stay even after their appointment is finished! I have nothing but amazing things to say! If you are looking for a kid friendly dental office you can't go wrong here!
