The son of a 50-year veteran in the field of dentistry, Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., P.C. had a passion for dentistry that began in his early childhood. He grew up in North Valley Stream and graduated from a three-year program at Adelphi University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated top of his class in 1991. He furthered his education in a post-doctorate general practice residency program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he served as Chief Dental Resident until 1993.
Dr. Weinstein first entered private practice in Bayside and Valley Stream and with his father for a year. He went on to open Shine Dental Group at 600 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead and his practice grew from two chairs to nine chairs with a full-service, in-house dental laboratory. With the expansion of his dental practice he moved into his current state-of-the-art location across the street at 639 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square. Drawing on the vast knowledge he attained during numerous hours of continuing education, he established a patient-centered practice that incorporates the latest technology and most current techniques in dental care. Working together with his Board-Certified Periodontist and his Orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein is proud to offer patients complete dental care under one roof.
In 2011, after 20 years in private practice, he and his two partners opened Shine Dental Associates of the North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. The establishment of this upscale practice fulfilled his dream to open an office in the style of a posh Manhattan hotel. His attention to detail and knowledge of interior design greatly contributed to the creation of a luxurious masterpiece in the North Shore of Long Island.
Dr. Weinsteins participation in many dental societies, his thirst for advancing his dental career, and his genuine chair-side manner make him an outstanding clinician and exceptional member of the dental community. He maintains his attending position as part of the medical staff at North Shore University Hospital at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin Square, NY.
His compassion for elderly and homebound individuals prompted Dr. Weinstein to establish the Visiting Dental Care of New York division of his practice, which provides patients with dental care in their homes. He visits hospitals, extended care facilities, residences, and nursing homes to provide all types of dental services at the convenience of his patients and their caregivers.
Dr. Weinsteins dedicated staff has been with him since he first began in private practice, and they support his endeavors to create smiles that last a lifetime and to make it affordable for patients to receive the care they want and deserve.

I have driven past Shine Dental on Jericho Turnpike so many times and when the time came and I needed to find a new dentist , it was like it was meant to be. From the minute I walked in for my consultation I was warmly welcomed by everyone. The staff is kind, caring and goes above and beyond for every part of your visit. Suraj, Christina and Sherry are who I have dealt with and each and every time I have called or gone into the office, they have made me feel like I am their only patient. The hygienist 'Dafne' was amazing. She was the first person I met, and she recommended Dr. Nguyen, who has been great. I had not been to a dentist in over 10 years before visiting SHINE. And now, 10 months into making my smile better, I am thankful for their patience and demeanor.

I have been going to Shine dental for many years. I am not the best patient, but Dr. Nguyen has an incredible chair side manner and walks me through every appointment to put me at ease. The hygienists are also top notch.

This is by far the best office on Long Island. The aesthetics are sleak and modern, the staff treats you like family and you won't find a more talented and intuitive roster of professionals. I'm glad to finally have found some consistency. They proactively communicate with my insurance (no unexpected bills!), never surprise me with a different dentist each appointment and the actual work has been wonderful. It's just a really, really well run office. Shine is absolutely where you want to be.

This office was an experience to say the least!! From the moment you walk in, the aesthetic is so upscale and modern. (Enjoy taking selfies while you wait) The staff are all SOOO friendly and kind. My Dentist, Dr. Weinstein & my Periodontist Dr. Mittle are hands down THE best!!! I come all the way from Manhattan & I do not regret sitting in traffic one bit. They're attentive, caring and knowledgeable Doctors overall. I've had several procedures done and have never had pain or discomfort. 10/10 recommend.
