Do you ever worry about cleanliness in dental offices? We go above and beyond for you, exceeding the American Dental Association (ADA) and OSHA recommended standards for a clean and safe practice. We have a dedicated area with state-of-the-art sterilization technology, where every instrument is wrapped, disinfected, and made ready before your visit. We also sanitize each room between patients, and we use a closed water system (rather than everyday tap water). Additionally, we perform weekly spore testing with a third party infection control center. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so youll never have to!
Dr. Mark Klopenstinecompleted his DDS degree at Indiana University School ofDentistry, where he made the Deans list, earned numerous awards, and was voted in the top of his class inpediatric dentistryby members of the IUdental schoolfaculty.Dr. Klopenstinewas also selected for a highly regarded General Practice Residency in Charlotte, NC, during which he received additional training ingeneral dentistryas well as more specific areas of dental treatment, including emergency care,dental implants,oral surgery, anddentistryfor medically compromised patients. He is certified to provideLumineersandInvisalignclear and removable braces.
He completed his DMD degree at theMedical University of Georgias College of Dental Medicine, where he graduated12thin his class. While in dental school Dr. Baura was awarded the Department of General Dentistry Faculty Achievement Award which was voted on by thesenior faculty members.
Dr. Baura was also granted theservice leadership awardgiven out by theAcademy of Dentistry International, and was a recipient of theJudson C. Hickey Scholarship. After graduating dental school Dr. Baura was accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the Charlie Norwood VA Hospital.During his residency Dr. Baura was trained extensively indental implants, extraction ofwisdom teeth,bone grafting, complex treatment planning, and IV sedation.
Dr. Baura's mission is to provide the best quality dental care to his patients in a loving and compassionate manner. His motivation comes from Jesus Christ and wanting to treat others, as he wants to be treated. He strives to take the time to explain diagnoses and treatments in a way that you will understand. He wants to gain your trust through competence, compassion, and commitment to care for your dental needs. Dr. Baura has been married for 7 years and has 3 children.
Dr. Baura and his wife have been foster parents for the past 3 years, and this January they were able to finally adopt their 3 year old who they brought home from the hospital at 2 days old. On his time off, Dr. Baura enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife also enjoy going to yard sales and wood working.
Dr. Elyse Maiorini grew up in Farmington, CT and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2008. After college, she spent a year performing research in childrens oral health at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Maiorini received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2013 and went on to complete a two-year general practice residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, during which she served as chief resident in her second year. Afterwards, she spent two years in Charleston, SC as an associate caring for children and patients with special needs before deciding to return to the greater Charlotte area. Dr. Maiorini enjoys providing comprehensive dental care to all ages. She is a certified Invisalign provider and a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Ballantyne Spear study club.
When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Maiorini loves spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, going to Orange theory, running, traveling, gardening, playing the violin, and eating Italian food.
