Dr. Gonzalez earned his DMD from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015 achieving the presidential award and being inducted into the Honos Civicus society. Dr. Gonzalez did his undergraduate studies in College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and his high school in Noble and Greenough school in Dedham, where he serves in the graduate council. Dr. Gonzalez completed his pediatric residency in the NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Holyoke MA, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Gonzalez has served on the board of trustees for the Hispanic Dental Association. He is a member of (AAPD) American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, (ADA) American Dental Association, (MDA) Massachusetts Dental Society, (HDA) Hispanic Dental Association, and (MHDA) Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association where he serves as a board of trustee.
In his free time Dr. Gonzalez enjoys playing soccer, skiing, Brazilian jujitsu, kickboxing, biking, going to the movies and staying active. Dr. Gonzalez loves to travel, seeing new places, and learning new cultures. Dr. Gonzalez also likes to give back to his community and often goes on mission trips to South American and the Caribbean to help those less fortunate.
Meet Ana. She is the first one to greet you with a warm smile when you come in to the clinic. She's our front desk manager and an important member of the SHIELD team. Ana has worked with pediatric dental patients from all over Massachusetts, including Fall River, MA and New Bedford, MA.
Meet Kerri. We added an emoji for her profile picture because this is her #1 goal when providing dental care in our Westport, MA office. She is one of the all-stars of the SHIELD team. She will take care of you and hold your hand while working with Dr. Dan to provide premier pediatric dentistry at our beautiful office, just minutes from the shore.
Erwin is the newest member of our team. He completed his dental hygiene degree at Bristol Community College, where he was inducted into Sigma Phi Alpha - National Dental Hygiene Honor Society. Additionally, Erwin earned a bachelors degree in nutrition at The University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed graduate-level courses at Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.His proficiency in healthcare and pediatric dentistry allows him to provide personalized treatment to children of all ages. Erwins interests include cooking, crafting, kayaking, camping, fishing, and spending time with his loving family.

I am so happy that I chose this office for my child. The receptionist was extremely nice, very pleasant and helpful. I couldn't believe how comfortable and at-ease they made my 2.5 year old daughter at her first dentist appointment. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience for her! I have a second child who will be following her here, no doubt.

We had a great visit today, with my 6 year old daughter. I was concerned about a tooth that I thought was infected.doctor Dan took the time to thoroughly look through my girls teeth, I left feeling relived . We will be back in November for surgery.

By far the best pediatric dentist in the area. All staff is kind, honest, caring and gentle. My girls were extremely nervous about their visits but staff was reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Dan at Shield pediatrics and will be sharing my experience with all my friends and family.

I really liked this facility . So glad I made the switch . Great experience from the first phone call to leaving the building . I looked around many places and you can almost tell from that initial first phone call how your visit will be And this receptionist was very polite. My son was very nervous do to not having a great experience elsewhere but the provider made him and myself feel very at ease. And my son loves his little prize at the end of his visit . Very happy .

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. And quick!! They took us right in, and I was shocked at how efficient the doctors and staff were. Everyone in the office made myself and the kids feel right at home.They were happy to answer all my questions. I'm very impressed!

This was my son's first dentist appointment, he's 3, and the staff made him feel very welcomed and comfortable! My son did great and he thought the TV on the ceiling was awesome!!

Dr. Dan is amazing. He treated my daughter fast and efficient. What took one dentist to do 2 hours he completed in a half hour and he did more work. He genuinely cares about the kids. 10/10 recommended highly. She no longer has a fear of the dentist Been going here for 2 years and I still highly recommend! Around Christmas time my daughters tooth got stuck on a candy and I tried to release it ended up pulling it out at like 8pm. I called his emergency line and he picked up FaceTimed me to make sure her gums and the tooth we a ok! And gave me recommendations and what to watch I it for just in case! Called in the morning as well to check on her! I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is.
