Shewey Family Dentistry is a modern, state-of-the-art practice offering Bellevue area patients a full-range of general and cosmetic dental services, from routine check-ups to complete smile makeovers. Dr. Shewey practices conservative, proactive dentistry utilizing the latest in dental technology. Your comfort is always a primary concern.
Dr. Shewey joined his father, Dr. William Shewey, in practice in September of 2000 after graduating from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Christian grew up on the Eastside and went to undergraduate at the University of Washington on a baseball scholarship as a catcher. He had a very successful baseball career including twice being on the 'All Pac-10 Team', Husky team captain, and was drafted by the Seattle Mariners. Dr. Christian decided to forgo the opportunity to play professional baseball after his senior year and opted instead to begin his second career as a dentist, and attend the acclaimed UW School of Dentistry. He excelled in dental school and received the 'Fixed Prosthodonics Award' upon graduation in 2000, given to the student showing the best clinical skills and proficiency in doing crowns and bridges. Dr. Shewey is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, King County Dental Association, and many study clubs as well. Dr. Christian and his wife Kelly live in Seattle with their children Conor, Rece and Brooks. In his spare time, Dr. Christian enjoys coaching youth baseball, golfing and exercising.

I couldn't be happier with my experiences at Shewey Family Dentistry over the years. With other dentists, I have always felt unsure that what they were recommending is actually what I needed. With Shewey I always leave feeling comfortable that my dental care is being handled at a very high level, but with zero concern that I'm being sold services I really don't need. The team is always friendly, caring and efficient. I give them my highest recommendation.

Dr. Shewey has a gentle touch. Entire staff is caring and very friendly. Even in this post pandemic environment I was able to see Dr. Shewey immediately when I called experiencing mild pain.

1. Friendly staff, most of whom I've known for years and great me by name when I walk in the door. 2. Appointments routinely occur as scheduled with delays of any significance a rarity. 3. Christian shewey is an excellent dentist - skilled, fast, and very effective at minimizing discomfort. 4. I have confidence that the work Christian recommends is driven by consideration of my dental health rather than his need for revenue.

Although I hate going to the dentist, Dr. Shewey and his staff are wonderful! They always try to make it easy for me. Have to say say Becky is fabulous, she's fun to talk with and always gets me in when I'm in a crunch!

I had been with another practice prior to taking my business to Shewey Family Dentistry. I had several issues there which prompted the switch. At Shewey Family Dentistry, I don't worry about the work being done right. Everyone is professional, courteous and pleasant to work with. The dental work is well done and I have great confidence that everyone's skills are current. The billing is right, and the office works with my insurer to be certain there are no unpleasant surprises.

My husband and I visit this office but we just recently took our 9 year old here for a second opinion. The pediatric dentist that our kids go to, told us that our son had three cavities. When getting a second opinion from Dr. Shewey, there was only one cavity that he said needed to be filled. We appreciate the honesty and as always they do an excellent job here. We will be taking our other three kids here when they are a little older.
