Dr. Sasha Sherry grew up with a passion for learning and a drive to achieve excellence across her life interests. Her aspirations brought her to Princeton University where she graduated with a degree in biology and received All-American honors as a Division I athlete. Dr. Sasha, as many of her patients call her, went on to become a member of the United States Womens National Ice Hockey Team and competed for a spot on the 2010 Olympic team. After her athletic career, she followed in her fathers footsteps and graduated from dental school at Temple University as an award recipient for her commitment to patient care and clinical skills.

Dr. Sasha is a life-long learner and spends countless hours advancing her knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Aside from general dentistry practices, her expertise extends to sleep medicine, childrens development, and restoring implants. She enjoys being a member of several dental organizations and attends meetings throughout the year to ensure Sherry Dental remains at the cutting edge of the industry.

Outside of the dental world, Dr. Sasha continues to play ice hockey in local leagues and offers private lessons to rising hockey stars. She also greatly enjoys her time engaging in community outreach and development within Shenandoah. Her other interests include golfing, bow hunting, reading, and staying active.

Dr. Maria Tacelosky grew up in Mahanoy City watching her grandfather practice dentistry. She was inspired by her grandfathers passion for helping others and she knew from a young age that dentistry was a profession she wanted to pursue. She completed an accelerated seven year dental program with The University of Scranton and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine. She received the Northeastern Society of Periodontics Award for excellence. Following graduation she completed a general practice dental residency at the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital to further enhance her skills.

For the past 29 years Dr. T has been actively involved in organized dentistry. She has been an advocate for providing care for the underserved. For years she volunteered at the Hope Center in Luzerne providing free extractions for those who needed them. Since 2012 she has participated in the Soldier Readiness Program for the National Guard and the Reserve Forces. She served as a trustee for the Pennsylvania Dental Association, is past president of the Fourth District and the Dental Society of Schuylkill County and has served as a delegate to the American Dental Association annual sessions. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry having taken over 1200 hours of continuing education. She was awarded membership in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

In her free time, Dr. T spends her free time with her children Katie and Nicholas. She enjoys working in her yard, reading, traveling to the beach, cheering on her favorite Pittsburgh sports team and spoiling her two Shitzus.

Dr. T is passionate about providing her patients with the best dental care possible while treating everyone like family. She loves to help patients improve their oral health and achieve a beautiful smile. She enjoys building personal relationships with her patients and treating the person, not just the tooth. She is very excited to become part of the Sherry Dental Family and will provide you with the same quality and compassionate care you are accustomed to.

Melissa Mel has acquired a vast knowledge of dentistry serving alongside Dr. Ron Sherry in our Lehighton office over the last 20 years. She enjoys having a full schedule to keep busy and has found true satisfaction in making people feel comfortable and caring for their needs. In her free time Mel enjoys cooking, painting, gardening and spending time with her husband Mark.

With over 35 years of experience, Shelly oversees all billing and insurance activities in the Lehighton office. She prides herself in ensuring all billing and insurance claims are handled properly and efficiently. Shelly enjoys connecting with and helping all our patients. Outside the office, Shelly enjoys spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and vacationing to warm beach destinations.

Sue has been an invaluable member of our Sherry Dental Lehighton office for the past 30 years where patient care is second to none. She loves her patients and cherishes the relationships she has built all while helping them achieve perfect oral health. She enjoys travelling in her spare time. Sues husband, children, and grandchildren keep a smile on her face. Sue looks forward to keeping your smiles healthy and bright!

Brooke has enjoyed dental assisting for 10 years. As the newest member of Sherry Dental, Brooke has fit right in with the rest of our team. She enjoys working alongside Dr. Ron Sherry and her co-workers with the shared goals of helping people and providing exceptional dental care. In her free time she enjoys live music, spending time with her dogs, and getting lost in the woods.

Jill works primarily in the Tamaqua office, but can be found in the Lehighton office on occasion. She loves being able to interact with patients and views each day as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting. The dental field, especially dental insurance, can provide its challenges and Jill tackles them head on to achieve the best outcome for our patients. Jill loves spending time with her wonderful kids, Emma, Asa, and Boe, and her husband Brian. Her family stays busy travelling and enjoying the great outdoors.

Jenny, often referred to as Roxy by her co-workers, began her journey as a dental hygienist more than 13 great years ago but the most enjoyable of them have been the last five with Sherry Dental. Born and raised in Tamaqua (Go Raiders!), it brings her much fulfillment to make patients feel at home and comfortable. When shes not providing quality care in the office, Jenny enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, going to concerts, and riding ATVs.

Alanah is Dr. Sasha Sherrys assistant at the Shenandoah office. She thoroughly enjoys meeting new patients, hearing their stories and discovering how we can make their lives, and smiles better. She is very passionate about learning new techniques and keeping abreast with the new technology the dental field has to offer. When shes not working, Alanah loves spending time outdoors with her family and friends, listening to music and riding motocross.

Angela is a hygienist at the Shenandoah office. She has nine years of experience as a hygienist and truly enjoys each opportunity to help patients improve their health. Angela prides herself on staying on top of the latest educational opportunities as they pertain to her role in oral health. Outside of the office, Angela enjoys an active lifestyle with her family and when the weather permits you can find her on the trails.

Ashley is the newest staff member to join our offices. She one day aspires to become a hygienist, but is taking full advantage of this opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of a dental office. With a passion for perfection and versatility, this is a great start to her career. Besides keeping herself busy with another job, she enjoys doing anything that involves outdoors, good company, country music, or traveling.
