Quality care takes time, careful planning, and good communication. Communication with the patient and the patients family is essential from the very beginning when treatment options are evaluated, and the treatment plan is agreed upon by the patient and/or guardian. Each step of the treatment process and patient progress is discussed so that everyone is well-informed and expectations are met prior to the placement of the braces. Patient questions and feedback are encouraged at every stage of the treatment process.
We enjoy getting to know our patients on a personal level, keeping up with school activities and supporting local athletic teams. We promote a relaxed, fun environment where patients and their families feel comfortable. All our patients especially enjoy participating in office contests and reward incentive programs.
A beautiful smile and healthy teeth go hand-in-hand with a focus on general health. We not only improve the aesthetics of your smile, the treatment improves malocclusions (bad bites) resulting from tooth or jaw misalignment. Patients with malocclusions tend to have a harder time brushing, flossing, and chewing, as well as TMJ soreness. Additionally, we will give you and your general dentist regular updates on your oral hygiene and health. Quality orthodontic treatment together with routine dental care help to ensure that teeth will function correctly and stay in proper alignment for a lifetime.
Through our use of advanced technology, we are able to offer higher quality care to our patients. Computer technology enables us to focus on our patients and not on tracking paper files. Additionally, digital imaging and digital radiography (x-rays) minimize exposure to harmful radiation, and also help provide patients and parents with a better understanding of treatment options. Overall, we believe that a digital office with onsite digital imaging enable better communication with other dental professionals, and higher quality treatment.
Dr. Vossoughi considers himself a local of San Fernando Valley. He did part of his high school in Woodland Hills, California. Dr. Vossoughi attended University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery).
Dr. Vossoughi then moved to east coast to do a one year General Practice Residency at Stony Brook Hospital in New York to further his knowledge in all facets of Dentistry specially the more advanced techniques and treatment modalities. Subsequently he got admitted to the prestigious specialty program in State University of New York, Stony Brook and completed another three year residency program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Vossoughi has been involved in research extensively all through his education and professional career. His researches are in different areas of Dental sciences including the comparison of X-ray Cephalometric Norms in different ethnicities, assessment of the effectiveness of dental instruction programs in school students, and the effect of dental extraction on tongue position and airway dimensions. Some of his researches have been published in peer reviewed dental journals. His case report of Pyogenic Granuloma associated with cervical root resorption has been published in the well-respected Journal of Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Vossoughi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which only a small group of orthodontists have accomplished. He attends many National Orthodontic meetings and study groups to stay up to date with all new technologies and advances in Orthodontics.

Dr. V and his team are awesome. Dr. V has been treating my son and daughter for a couple of years and we are truly blessed for him and his team! His assistant Monica is such a joy. My fiance and I have been coming here for about a year now and it has been the best experience I have every had. Dr. Vossoughi and his staff are very welcoming every time I come here and I am extremely happy. When I was younger I was always afraid of going to see any doctor, but Dr. Vossoughi has made every visit pleasant and comfortable for me and my fiance. My fiance came to get her braces done and she loves everything about her new smile! Dr. Vossoughi is very skilled in his work and talks about his plan with you so you don't feel completely lost. Every visit is fast and easy from calling to make an appointment, to sending reminders of your next appointment. The facility is very clean and everything is organized. I've been able to schedule mine and my fiance's appointments around work and school, still get our routine check-ups/appointments, without having to move our day around. We definitely will be coming here for all future visits.
