Dr Harold Perlaza, DDS, has been educating his patients about good oral health and periodontal care for over 20 years. Dr Perlaza specializes in advanced cosmetic dentistry and customized treatment plans and options. He attended a special dental program at the University of California Los Angeles in 1989.
Dr Perlaza has completed numerous post graduate programs in cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, dental implants and laser periodontal therapy. Dr Perlaza teaches at UCLA, school of dentistry, advanced education on general dentistry. Dr Perlaza is an avid scuba diver, underwater photographer and videographer.
James Sunwoo, MD, DDS, is an oral and facial surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive care in the head and neck region. His areas of expertise encompass traditional oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthognathic maxillofacial surgery, and cosmetic maxillofacial surgery.
He obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago. He received dual degrees in medicine and dentistry, from the University of Southern California and Columbia University, respectively. His postgraduate training, including an internship and residency, in general surgery and maxillofacial surgery, was completed at the University of Southern California. In addition, he is dual-fellowship trained in maxillofacial orthognathic surgery and general cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Samuel Gegamian is the Endodontist at Studio City Dental Group. Dr. Gegamian graduated from Boston University Dental School in 2004. He also completed a one-year advanced educated in general dentistry from the University of the Pacific in 2005.
He returned to Boston University in 2010 and completed a 2-year endodontic specialty program. Since then he was practicing as an Endodontist in Boston. At the end of 2018, DrGegamianmoved to California and joined Studio City Dental Group.

Being a patient here has been a great experience. I'm sad to have to find a new dentist since I've moved to a new city. Dr. Perlaza and his staff were always so welcoming and genuinely seem happy to see their patients. I appreciate the up-to-date technology and techniques used to make all of my procedures as comfortable and efficient as possible. I hope I can find a new dental office that provides the same positive experiences.

Dentist Dr. Perlaza, his periodontist & his support staff at Sherman Oaks Dentistry in Van Nuys are excellent. I've been very happy over the past few years with routine exams, cleanings, and a crown and 2 implants I knew I needed. They'll patiently explain all your options & don't try to sell you on anything. My only regret is I didn't find them sooner since I'm 70.

Adrain, dental hygienist, is consistently meticulous cleaning my teeth. He generously makes suggestions to me for improving my daily brushing. As a team, we are keeping my teeth healthy. Also, the staff is very professional. Finally, Dr Perlaza is the very best dentist of my 81 years of experience.

I have had a lot of extensive dental work. I am new to the area and needed a good quality dentist. Dr. Perlaza and the staff are knowledgeable and caring as well as ethical. The prices are fair and Dr. Perlaza worked with my mother to do a repair as opposed to pushing replacement... we are grateful to find a good dentist!

This is an amazing dentist office! Love my hygienist Adrian. The front staff is very friendly and takes care of billing my insurance. Dr. Perlaza is gentle and kind. I'm never afraid or nervous when I need to have work done because I know I'm in good hands.

I've been there three times so far and the comfort level went from "newbie" to "darn near family" within seconds. Never mind that my teeth are clean and I feel great; and we haven't even talked about the amazing photography on the walls; the entire team makes you feel like you matter. UPDATE OCTOBER 2020: I've been there far more than three times by now. I bet you don't have fun going to your dentist's office. I do. I hope they do, too, when I visit. UPDATE JUNE 2022: Still going. Still family.

This place is GREAT!!! Everyone there is so kind, and willing to meet your needs. They even put movies on for while the work is getting done. They are patient, and definitely go above and beyond. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs work done. I had not been to a dentist for many years, and had a strong fear built up. They all my concerns, and made every thing very easy.
