Your smile is important. It increases your confidence and self-esteem. Issues with your teeth can knock your confidence. We will work with you to enhance the appearance of your teeth and maintain their natural beauty. We offer a variety of cosmetic dental procedures, including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, as well as full reconstruction.

Keeping a healthy smile and excellent standards of oral health are achieved by taking good care of your teeth at home and with regular visits to our office. This will help to prevent problems before they occur. We offer necessary exams which are focused on keeping your teeth clean and monitoring for the early signs of cavities and gum disease. Dr. Bryan Weyneth is a highly experienced dentist in the field of oral appliance therapy for the treatment of snoring and apnea. We will screen your particular situation and discuss if oral appliance therapy is right for you. Let us help you obtain a quiet, restful night's sleep!

Looking after your natural teeth is important to us at Sherman Oaks Dental, however, when a tooth is lost, the gap left needs to be addressed. Without filling the gap, the teeth surrounding it may start to move inward, and you are also opening your mouth up to infections and tooth decay. Dental implants replace lost teeth with a titanium post holding a replacement tooth, which restores the function and the look of your missing tooth.

If your teeth require straightening and dislike the idea of conventional braces, Invisalign provides an effective solution that is less noticeable. These clear plastic aligners fit neatly into your mouth. They can easily be removed before eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth.

Prevention through a consistent oral hygiene routine is the first priority to avoid gum disease and periodontitis. However, if gingivitis and periodontitis do occur, we will provide a solution to suit your needs. These may include deep cleanings, laser treatments, or other state-of-the-art treatment modalities. Robust gum health is one of our top focuses at Sherman Oaks Dental.

If you have chipped teeth, gaps between teeth, or uneven gums, these can make you feel like hiding your smile away. Lumineers are a quick, easy way to create a brilliant smile without the need for anesthesia. Lumineers are porcelain veneers from Cerinate that can be applied in one comfortable treatment. If you are not a suitable candidate for Lumineers, we offer porcelain veneers, and, though they may require a more involved preparation session, the result is very similar to Lumineers.

If you have a toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, or another dental emergency, Dr. Weyneth is committed to the general dental care of our existing patients'. This service is available to you for an emergency, even outside our regular office hours.

The dentist's office can generate a lot of anxiety or fear for many. At Sherman Oaks Dental, we aim to make your experience as easy as possible. We can provide nitrous oxide to our patients who need it, making their time in our office relaxed and free from stress or fear.

Even before your child has visible teeth, their dental health is something that of the utmost importance. Bringing your child for regular fun and stress-free visits to our Naperville dental office for a check-up is vital.

Poor dental health in your senior years could raise the risk of heart attack and stroke. At Sherman Oaks Dental, we evaluate the special needs or challenges of our 50 & better patients and customize treatment to your specific situation. If you suffer from dry mouth or sleep apnea, have stained, worn, or discolored teeth, or are experiencing trouble with old bridges, crowns, or fillings, Drs. Weyneth will keep your smile as healthy as possible.

Our exceptional, friendly team is our greatest asset. Every member of our hand-picked team is committed to providing you with exceptional skills, experience and expertise. Were honored to serve as your trusted advisors regarding you and your family's ongoing dental care.

Both snoring and sleep apnea can affect quality of sleep and leave you feeling tired and listless throughout the day. Sleep apnea is also a potentially life-threatening condition because it restricts the amount of oxygen reaching the brain and other organs. Here are some of the reasons you should seek help for snoring and sleep apnea treatment.

Sherman Oaks Dental - Cosmetic dentist, General dentist in Naperville, IL
  • A Non-Snorer: Breathes with no issue because their airway remains open while they sleep. Air will pass through the nose, past the flexible structure of the throat where the tongue and upper throat meet the soft palate and uvula, and down to the lungs.
  • A Snorer: Obstruction of the airway caused by relaxation of the muscles in the back of the throat. This narrows the airway, causing a vibration while air moves through this restricted space. It can cause benign snoring, or be more severe, causing Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS).
  • A Sleep Apnea Sufferer: Experiences an even worse obstruction. The throat, tongue, and jaw relax so much that the airway is completely blocked. This progression of UARS is Obstructive Sleep Apnea, or OSA.
  • During a sleep apnea event, the tongue relaxes against the top of the throat, closing the airway. This then cuts off oxygen to the brain. After a few seconds, the bodys natural reflex kicks in and you'll startle awake so the tongue muscles tighten, open the airway, and restore airflow. A snorer often never fully awakens, but this interruption of sleep patterns causes fatigue since they aren't getting as much sleep as they should.

Many patients with sleep apnea can be complately unaware of the issue. If they have a bed partner, diagnosis may come after the partner notices the constant snoring, long pauses between breaths, and loud snorting or choking sounds that go with a startle. If there is no-one else in the room, the issue may not even be considered until other symptoms prompt an investigation.

Teeth grinding - called bruxism by dentists - can be a sign of sleep apnea. The body uses teeth grinding as a signal to the brain that the mouth needs to open to take a breath. In some cases of sleep apnea, the throat becomes constricted, and you cant breathe, increasing the frequency and severity of grinding during sleep.

Grinding is problematic for several reasons. First, it can wear down teeth prematurely, causing them to appear worn and withered. Second, the wearing action makes them more prone to cavities. Thinning enamel makes it easier for plaque to break through to the interior of the tooth and cause decay. Finally, grinding can lead to problems with the jaw muscles that can be painful and difficult to remedy.

Living with snoring and sleep apnea can be exhausting. Sleep apnea can cause sufferers to suddenly jolt awake as the body releases stress hormones to force breathing. This disrupts sleep and can prevent the most restful REM phases of sleep from ever occurring. Dealing correctly with snoring and sleep apnea, however, can increase energy and give you the strength and willpower you need to make other lifestyle changes. With the right treatment, youre more able to get the restful sleep to more fully enjoy the rest of your life.

Both snoring and sleep apnea can contribute to the onset of chronic disease. People with sleep apnea, for instance, are at a much higher chance of developing obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. While theres no substitute for a healthy diet and regular exercise, coming to see us to address sleep apnea and snoring can help to secure your long term health. With the correct intervention, you can mitigate some of the adverse effects of these conditions, protecting your health now and in the future.

Snoring and sleep apnea can take their toll on the throat. The continual vibration and passing of air through a small gap can cause redness and inflammatory response which hurts in the morning. Dealing with snoring and sleep apnea directly helps to alleviate these conditions.

If you share a bed with a partner, the noise of snoring and sleep apnea can cause relationship problems. The good news is that both of these conditions are treatable at our dental practice. Our team can intervene to reduce and eliminate the noise you make while you sleep - great news for both you and your partner.

The problem with sleep apnea is that you experience the symptoms while youre unconscious. Its tricky, therefore, to know whether you have it or not. If you sleep alone or with a heavy sleeper, you may experience regular attacks but not experience any feedback. The key is to look out for the signs. If you find yourself suddenly jolting awake in the night short of breath, it could be a sign that you were unable to breathe for a time before you woke. You could also notice other issues, such as waking several times in the night to visit the bathroom, or experiencing daytime drowsiness, and teeth that look unduly worn from grinding them. Diagnosing sleep apnea is a challenge, but if you suspect that you might have it, then pay a visit to our Naperville dental practice. We can help you diagnose the condition and provide a variety of treatments to correct it.

The definition of sleep apnea is quite specific. It is defined as the frequent interruption of sleep due to a lack of fresh oxygen reaching the lungs through regular breathing. Snoring, however, is different. Studies suggest that around 30 to 50 percent of the US population experiences snoring at some point in their lives. While snoring is irritating and can lead to relationship issues, it doesnt necessarily imply sleep apnea. Snoring, or the vibration of the windpipe during nighttime breathing, suggests pressure on the trachea, but it does not necessarily mean that breathing has become difficult. It all depends on a persons unique biology. Whats more, the symptoms of snoring are different. Patients who snore heavily and for long stretches of time throughout the night often report having sore throats on waking, but do not suddenly jolt awake in the middle of the night with a shortness of breath. If you believe that you may have sleep apnea, the first thing you should do is visit us. We can provide a treatment plan to manage your symptoms. There are, however, several other measures you can take to reduce your risk. The National Institutes of Healths National Institute on Aging, suggests that patients adopt the following strategies:

Great experience. My child went in with a chipped tooth and came out with it looking whole again. No unnecessary unaesthetic, great bedside manner, and the doctor checked that the nerve did not get damaged. We felt very thankful.

    - Dental Hygienist, Kelly does a thorough & super cleaning, she is very conscious of any possible discomfort/pain. - Since Dr Weyneth does not try to "up-sell" unnecessary dental work, I trust his suggestions on what needs to be done with my teeth.

Awesome dentist and staff! As someone who experiences anxiety at the dentist, I wish I had found Dr. Weyneth sooner! He truly is amazing, both in his work and his bedside manner. Liz at the front desk is always so helpful when it comes to scheduling appointments and any insurance related questions, which I really appreciate. Kelly did cleanings for myself and for my (8 year old) daughter, and we both had a great experience. I highly recommend Sherman Oaks dental! Thank you to my dad for referring me!
