Dr. Paul D. Clarks goal is to provide patients the best endodontic specialty care possible in a gentle, skilled, and caring way. Dr. Clark is an experienced, efficient, board certified specialist and has a calm and caring demeanor that will put you at ease during your treatment.
Dr. Clark was raised in Logan, Utah, and attended Utah State University for his undergraduate studies. After his first semester at USU, he left for Madrid, Spain, where he spent two years of volunteer service as a missionary for his church. Dr. Clark enjoyed the culture and people of Spain while becoming fluent in Spanish. After his service in Spain, Dr. Clark returned to Utah State University, graduating in 2000 with honors while earning a BA in business administration.
Dr. Clark has conducted and published research at each of the universities he has attended. Dr. Clark attended The University of Iowa College of Dentistry on an academic research scholarship, earning his DDS degree and graduating with honors in 2004. One of his favorite things about his time in Iowa was enjoying Big 10 sports!
Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Clark was selected as a dental resident at the University of Utah Hospital and graduated from this General Practice Residency program in 2005, gaining valuable experience in sedation and treating medically compromised patients in hospital dentistry.
Dr. Clark received his endodontic specialty training at the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Dentistry endodontic program where he earned his endodontic specialist certificate and a Masters of Science in Dentistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2007.Dr. Clark practiced as an endodontic specialist in Phoenix, Arizona, for six years before relocating to Texas in 2013. While in Arizona, Dr. Clark was an adjunct endodontic faculty member at the A.T. Still University School of Dentistry and enjoyed helping dental students learn about and perform endodontic treatment.
Dr. Clark believes some of the most rewarding experiences in life come through serving others and has participated in numerous dental service opportunities throughout his career. Dr. Clark continues to further his endodontic education through CE courses and seminars in the latest advances of endodontics. Dr. Clark and his wife Julie are active in their community and church and are delighted to raise their family here in this wonderful community. They are the parents of 5 amazing children (boy, girl, boy, boy, boy) and enjoy traveling together, coaching & attending their kids sporting events and other family activities.
Dr. Clark is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, earning this distinction in 2011. Becoming board certified was important to Dr. Clark because it is a voluntary examination process with the American Board of Endodontics designed to identify clinicians who possess advanced proficiency and expertise within their field. As of 2017, only 23% of endodontists in the nation are board certified.
Every day, Dr. Lloyd commits himself to provide his patients with the best quality endodontic treatment and service. He strives to help every patient feel comfortable and have a good experience. Years of experience in the art and science of endodontics has allowed him to streamline this process to make the experience as smooth and easy as possible.
Dr. Lloyd grew up in Layton, Utah and was taught the value of service. He served as a volunteer missionary for two years in Miami, Florida where he learned Spanish. He returned to study at Brigham Young University in Utah.
Following his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, Dr. Lloyd attended dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University. He enjoyed his time in the Pacific Northwest and graduated in 2001 with Honors and was inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Following dental school, Dr. Lloyd had the opportunity to practice general dentistry for four years in his hometown. This experience allowed him to gain insight into all the aspects of dentistry before attending the endodontic residency program at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Lloyd received his endodontic specialist certificate and a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 2007.
After practicing endodontics for two years in Oregon, Dr. Lloyd moved to Texas in 2009 and has loved his time here since. For the past decade, he has dedicated himself to the care of his patients. He has been actively serving in the community and has had the opportunity to help train dental students serving in Guatemala. When not with his patients, Dr. Lloyd loves hiking, cycling and running. He is married and has six wonderful children to keep him busy.

This is my second root canal with Dr. Lloyd at Sherman Endodontics and just like the first one I'm very pleased with the procedure. They make sure you are comfortable and as near painless as possible. The office was a little cold this time and they gave me a blanket to keep me warm. I actually said to my wife it was a pleasant experience. That's saying something when you are referring to a root canal. I would recommend Dr. Lloyd and Sherman Endodontics to anyone needing dental work done and are concerned about getting professional service and no pain whatsoever. Five stars for sure.

Excellent people to deal with. If I could, I would give them 6 Star's. I drove over an hour to see them. I was refered to them by my primary Dentist that does root canals, but after my x-rays showed issues he referred me to them. Because they only specialize in root canals. My Dentist explained to me that if it was him he would go to Sherman Endodontics. An he was definitely right they are the best. The Dentist an staff are the best and I dont see how I could have got any better care.

Dr Lloyd is the best! Gentle and he explains everything he will be doing so there are no surprises. His staff were very friendly and they also explained everything related to cost. I highly recommend Sherman endodontics.

I've been to see Dr Clark 2x. He did a root canal the first time. This last visit was a follow up my regular dentist requested. The office is quiet and relaxed. Dr Clark is the best. Very calm and professional and my root canal went smoothly. I highly recommend him.

Very welcoming staff. Dr reviewed what he would be doing prior to starting work. They always made sure I was doing well as they were doing the root canal, which I was. I did not feel anything. When done, they told me what to expect and I was handed papers with emergency numbers, if needed. Definitely will recommend to anyone I know and will go back if I need another root canal.

My husband got a calcified root canal done here ,Dentist was very nice and extremely informative, husband said it was the first dentist that he went to that he didn't feel it when they numbed him , they were quick and my husband was able to go from having a headache and pain to nearly no pain at all, the staff was very welcoming and professional. overall awesome experience!

My husband & I both had 2 root canals each, done in one day @ their Sherman office. Dr Clark is very quiet, & caring. Neither my husband or myself felt any pain during our procedures. Now I won't go anywhere else!
