A Lawton native, Dr. Ernie Sheppard graduated from Eisenhower High School and later attended Texas Tech University on an athletic scholarship. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and was employed in international banking in Dallas until enrolling in Baylor College of Dentistry.
Since dental school, Dr. Ernie has completed numerous education courses with concentrations in orthodontics and fixed restorative procedures. He has supported the community by being involved in various civic causes such as Ambucs. He currently is the chairman of the Lawton Urban Renewal Authority and the Downtown Lawton Architectural Review Committee, and well as serving on the board of the Lawton Economic Development Authority.
Dr. Cindy Sheppard graduated from Wake Forest University and then from Baylor College of Dentistry. After graduation, she returned to the dental school to teach. Soon after, she and Dr. Ernie married and she moved to Oklahoma.
Dr. Cindy has served on the boards of Marie Detty Youth Services and the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra as well as being involved in PTA and serving as President while their children were young. In her spare time, Dr. Cindy enjoys sewing and quilting, and has won two blue ribbons for her quilts in the Oklahoma State Fair.
Dr. Scott Sheppard has always enjoyed Lawton and SW Oklahoma. He graduated from Eisenhower High School as valedictorian, and went on to receive his BBA in Management, as well as minors in Chemistry and Zoology, from the University of Oklahoma. He then attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Thereafter, Dr. Sheppard joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where he taught removable and fixed prosthodontics for a year. Dr. Scott joined Sheppard Family Dental Care in the summer of 2016, and has provided several new insights and techniques to the practice.
Marcy earned her Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from Midwestern State University and joined the Sheppard Family Dental Care team in 2004. She enjoys sharing her friendly, optimistic, and positive attitude with all of her patients and always makes them feel comfortable and secure. She lets them know that regular checkups and cleanings are an essential part of having a healthy smile. She looks forward to catching up on all the new events in her patients lives.
Marcy is married and is the proud mother of two sons, Brady and Carson. She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys going to baseball games and devoting her free time to outside activities with her family. Marcy also loves watching OU football in the fall!
Haley attended Midwestern State University where she graduated with her Bachelors degree in dental hygiene. She joined the team at Sheppard Family Dental Care in June 2019. She enjoys interacting and building relationships with her patients and aspires to provide them with quality care. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
Haley loves spending time with her husband, James, her family, friends, and her mini Australian shepherd, Tuff. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the movies, and exercising, at the gym.
Hannah was raised in Snyder, OK and moved to Lawton in 2005. She graduated from Cache High School in 2012. She then attended Platt College for dental assisting and graduated as a registered dental assistant in 2015. She joined the Sheppard Family Dental Care team in 2016, where she has been a patient herself since 1999. Hannah truly cares for her patients and enjoys sharing her friendly and positive personality to ease her patients anxiety and help them feel comfortable. Hannah loves spending time with her husband, Vince, and her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, movies, and puzzles. She especially enjoys hiking and all things outdoors with her husband and their two dogs, Gizmoe the Chihuahua, and Harley, their Great Dane.
Lisa was born at Ft. Sill and graduated from Fletcher High School. She began dental assisting in the late 80s. Her adventurous spirit moved her to NYC where she continued in the dental field. After years of assisting, an opportunity to move into health food sales presented itself. She accepted that position with a sales territory of Manhattan and the 4 boroughs. She moved back to the Lawton area in 2000 and joined the team at Sheppard Family Dental Cere in August 2019. Shes enjoyed returning to dentistry and learning all the new techniques and technology that have developed. Her positive and care-free attitude makes patients feel comfortable and at ease. Lisa is the proud mother of two boys, Jack and Spencer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, bouldering, slaying summits, and anything outdoors.
Lexi was born in Orange County, California. She moved to Marlow, OK in 2007 and has enjoyed her time being a Marlow Outlaw. She attended Marlow Public schools and graduated from Marlow High in 2018. She was on the Pom team and was a squad leader for 3 years, and also a basketball manager for 2 years. She attended Platt College in Lawton to become a dental assistant. Lexi graduated from Platt in 2019 and joined Sheppard Family Dental Care shortly afterwards in December 2019. She is very compassionate in what she does. Lexi enjoys sharing her positive and friendly attitude with her patients and making them feel comfortable and secure. Lexi is cat mom to a very playful Prim, and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and taking her cat on walks.

This is the best Dental care service I've ever experienced throughout my life, and because we are a military family we move around alot and no other place compares to this amazing Dental clinic. Dr. Sheppard is truly amazing at explaining everything, and always makes sure to call in the evening after a procedure to see if everything is going well after a procedure. Don't hesitate to get Dental care here.

Super kind, informative, competent, caring staff. They turned what had been a nightmare experience at an out of town dental place into a pleasant relief. They didn't try to overcharge or upsell, made sure I understood aftercare instructions, and Dr. Sheppard followed up with a call that evening to make sure I was still doing well. They seem to genuinely care for their patients, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

Everything was good until the bill. Was charged an extra 150.00 for exam and x-rays. Make sure you ask are you sure ask the dentist and assistant together if your bill is going to be the quote. Didn't even get a free toothbrush or floss. Total EXAM with X Rays charge 275.00

I usually have really bad anxiety about going to the dentist, especially coming from out of town. But Dr. Scott and his staff are wonderful! Everything was explained very thoroughly and all my questions were answered. You can tell they truly care about their patients and I would 100% reccomend them to anyone with anxiety about going to the dentist!

Had a dental emergency, and they had no problem getting me in last minute! Clean offices and very friendly staff, they care more about you and fixing issues then anything thing else! Me and my family will be back for sure!

Not bad. They are a bit more expensive than other places, but their staff is great, the waiting room very clean, two areas to sit in, one where there are books/fits for. Children Many waiting room free crowded. These aren't. Not that I've ever waited that one. The doctors are all nice. I miss Dr shepherd but then you eventually have to reture The office has the older feel, at least walls between the rooms, unlike many who have drapes. Overall, I have a pleasant experience.

Dr. Scott Sheppard and his assistant Hannah were amazing. I brought my 5 year old son in a few days ago for some dental work and they handled him with such care from start to finish. Dr. Sheppard and Hannah encouraged and praised him every step of the way. My son never felt nervous or scared. He was treated like it was their own child they were working on. Thank you so much! My family and I will definitely be returning to your office.

Dr Scott Shepard is amazing hands down. I have a great fear of dentist and people messing around inside my mouth but he puts my nerves at ease. He always tells me what he's going to do so I'm prepared for it, he's great when it comes to emergencies too. I would recommend him to any person, which in fact I have many times. I will never use another dentist as long as I live in this area. The whole staff is amazing and so kind, friendly and caring.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and takes the time to explain what their doing and even if you get a shot it doesn't hurt so bad. Best dental clinic and staff in Lawton.

Absolutely commendable service! From scheduling to front desk to hygienist Melany and the dentists the father and son Dr Sheppards. Great experience with Dr Ernie Sheppard who thoroughly did my comprehensive oral exam as well as together with his son Dr Scott Sheppard addressed the issues on my implants from my previous dentist. Hygienist Melany was very diligent and have great caring and gentle hands. The front desk, billing and scheduler were all amazing. I have already recommended their office to a couple of my colleagues and will continue to do so to all my friends and family who are loooking for caring and excellent dental care. I'm very grateful that me and my family came to know and got established with the Sheppard Dental Clinic. Kudos to Sheppard Family Dental Clinic! First time going there and I will definitely be back! The staff were professional and extremely friendly, making me feel comfortable when normally dentist offices make me very nervous. I had to get teeth pulled and both the people working on that were just so thorough, kind, and got it done quickly. Would 100% recommend
