My work is special to me because of how many lives I can positively impact. As a dentist, I stay on the forefront of my patients oral health, which undoubtedly affects their overall health. I aide in the screening and prevention of many life-threatening health problems, including infections or oral cancer, by providing state of the art diagnostics. In addition, I am able to alleviate dental pain. All the while producing a gorgeous smile.
Dr. Culler was born and raised in Camden, SC just northeast of Columbia. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina. Upon completion of college, his path led him to our beautiful city of Charleston, where he attended The James B. Edwards MUSC College of Dental Medicine and earned his license in 2017.
While a student at MUSC, Dr. Culler worked as a research assistant and apprentice in the implant prosthodontics clinic and developed a passion for the cutting-edge skills of CAD CAM crowns and 3-D diagnostic milling.
Dr. Culler is on the forefront of dental medicine. He actively participates in various professional organizations such as the South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He regularly attends continuing education seminars regarding new dental research, techniques and equipment.
While we were planning out our office vibe, we chose to embody a bit of our personalities. From the soothing wall colors and warm flooring, the plants distributed throughout, and the artwork from local artists displayed on the walls.

'I love this place. I have never had a better dental experience than those I had at Shem Creek Dental. I was somewhat apprehensive initially given some experiences I 've had in Mt. Pleasant as a girl of color. But these people are some of the kindest, warmest and most authentic that I 've come across in this field. Dottie the hygienist is the best. 'Today was my first time visiting after being referred by a good friend. It was such a positive experience. All the ladies and gents came around to the front desk at the beginning and end of the visit to introduce themselves. I was having crown work, so a two hour visit. Dr. Culler and his assistant immediately put me at ease. His hands are very gentle and not once did I feel any slight discomfort while he was working on the tooth. He explained each part of the procedure giving me breaks by removing the rubber mouth opener when he could see I needed a rest. Im actually looking forward to my follow up visit in two weeks to get the permanent crown. p.s. They even allow you to choose the radio station...70,s Road Trip!!'

'Dr. Culler is awesome! He helped with some sensitivity I was having from a prior filling. Although an easy fix of sanding down where the filling was too high on my bite, he was meticulous about it and made sure it was just perfect before he let me leave. I walked out feeling no sensitivity.'
