The combined experience of Drs. Ali Ismail and Carla Ismail represents decades of skilled dentistry, which means superior diagnostics and fantastic outcomes for patients just like you.
He enjoys caring for patients in his community, where he has been practicing his entire career. Dr. Ali enjoys getting to know each patient and developing long-lasting relationships. He prides himself on being especially good with patients who have dental anxiety. Over the years Dr. Ali has obtained advanced training in dental implants, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He enjoys being able to provide patients with comprehensive treatment all under the same roof.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Carla, and three children Zayn, Nora, and Jude. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and all things related to being in the great outdoors as well.
She is a caring dentist who uses only the most advanced materials and procedures available. She practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each patient. Dr. Carla is an Invisalign certified provider and looks forward to offering cosmetic and orthodontic services to patients.
Carol is a Livonia native and has been with the practice since 1997. She helps patients organize their dental care and gets them scheduled for treatment. Carols calm attitude and kindness make her easy to work with and a patient favorite. She is great at addressing patient concerns and answering questions.
Heather is a Garden City native and joined Sheldon Family Dental in 2014 as one of our dental assistants. She assists both Dr. Ali and Dr. Carla in all types of dental procedures, ensuring that patients feel well-cared for.

Justine grew up nearby in Plymouth and joined Sheldon Family Dental in 2019 as our dental hygienist. She works with patients to keep their teeth and gums healthy and provides gentle dental cleanings that make patients smile.
Being a dental hygienist has been a goal of mine since childhood. I am extremely passionate about helping to create happy and healthy smiles! Focusing on preventive dental care and patient education is what I love most about my job. I also enjoy building lasting relationships with our patients.
Lori is married to Mike, and together, they have four children and two cats. Passionate about fitness, you can find Lori bicycling on Hines Drive almost every weekend. She completed her first triathlon in 2008 and continues to run marathons across the state.
Megan is our newest team member at Sheldon Family Dental! She has been a patient coordinator for over 12 years in livonia. Megan lives locally with her husband Adam and their son Dougie. She has a German Shepherd named Blitz and a cat named Ketty. She doesnt have any free time right now between working full time and chasing around her little boy but one day hopes to take a nap again.

I had a thorough cleaning from a wonderful hygienist, Justine, and some cavities filled by Dr. Ali and assistant Heather. It was quick and painless. All the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would recommend having your teeth cleaned and any dental work needed done here.

One of my teeth cracked. Called Friday morning and got an afternoon appointment. Dr. Carla took the time, figured out what to do, and fixed the tooth. So glad I got it done before the weekend. Sheldon Family always does a great job.

Thank you so much Dr ismail for taking care my bridge last time I visited you .I went to a different dentist before I came to you he told me he was can take my whole bridge and do new one and it would cost me a lot of money but when I came to you for second opinion you fix the one tooth was bad and safe my bridge and I have been eating great. thank you so much for saving me money and fix my bridge I will recommend you for any body I know thanks again

Completely professional. Very friendly staff. They use a water-blast system to clean teeth -- MUCH better than scraping! Dr. Ali also uses a microscope for most procedures -- a great help!

I have been going to this dental practice for over 30 years. Doctor Hayward was an incredible dentist and Dr Carla and Dr Ali who took over her practice are just As good. Doctor Carla took great care of me today when I came in for the first time in a long time complaining of tooth pain. The whole staff are amazing.

WONDERFUL office and staff! I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to dental work and the doctors, assistants and hygienists are extremely understanding and make me feel very comfortable. I've gone to this practice for many years...since Dr. Hayward owned it, and I highly recommend it. This is an addendum on May 20, 2022: I SO appreciate Dr. Ali and his staff! I'm (relatively) young and it's silly but having a tooth removed in order to get an implant, was very upsetting to me. They were so kind and understanding. Most people don't get a temporary for a molar when getting an implant, but I wanted one. They worked with me to get it to fit and feel comfortable. I got the temporary at 10 o'clock this morning and 2 hours later I don't even notice that it's there! I STILL highly recommend this practice!

Went to Sheldon Family Dental for my second crown and am very happy with the results. Dr. Ali explains everything ahead of time and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the procedure. They also have great support staff. Would highly recommend them!
