Dr. Dan Sheldon was raised in Olathe. He attended school in the Olathe School District. Upon graduating from Olathe South High School in 1987, he attended Washburn University and Johnson County Community College before being accepted into UMKC School of Dentistry in 1991. He graduated from dental school in 1994 and immediately entered into practice with his father atSheldon Dental Group. Dr. Sheldon has always strived to use the most updated, state-of-the-art technology when performing all of his dental procedures. He truly enjoys dentistry and is passionate about providing the best possible care for each patient he sees.
Dr. Sheldon is married to Lori, the office manager, and has 3 children, Morgan, Ryan, and Katie, who can be seen roaming around the office from time to time. In his spare time, he is an avid golfer, a sports car enthusiast, and enjoys weekend at the lake with friends and family.
Dr. Michelle Bhaskar was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. She attended Blue Valley Northwest High School where she was selected as a Kansas Scholar. Later Dr. Bhaskar attended the University of Kansas, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology in 2010, and she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Subsequently, Dr. Bhaskar pursued and completed a two-year advanced education in General Dentistry Residency, gaining advanced training in restorative and cosmetic oral surgery, periodontics, TMJ and implant dentistry. Dr. Bhaskar is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association and Fifth District Dental Society.

Hello, If your reading this, your like me and just moved here or need a new dentist. So if you find this review helpful give me a thumbs up. So I called up and setup as a new patient. They have you do some online forms, to basically skip doing it in the office. Thankfully they actually use these forms, so getting in my first appointment was maybe a week or so for my initial cleaning, and just came in, waited 5 minutes, set down and was seen. The Hygienist was great, down to earth and knowledgeable. Now I needed some work done and had some basic work and a root canal needed for some ongoing issues with a tooth that had a crown. Not only are they able to get you in on a reasonable time, less than two weeks, and then four days. They've done it near the end of the year which is usually pretty sketchy. I've lived all over from New England, Florida, West Coast. I also have a family history of just bad teeth, and as such I have worked with a ton of dentists, with Christine and also Andy today. I've had some that are just bad to ones like Sheldon Dental Group that have been great so far. It's the little things you notice when you've been to so many dentists as I have. For instance communication, from the front office, hygienist, assistants, and two doctors. All of them talk, they explain what's going on, in almost excruciating detail throughout your visit and even give you the worst case scenarios just so you know upfront, this includes the costs of services. Also the facility, is the equipment kept clean and looking functiona? Well not only do they have that, but also opened an expansion wing this week. To some up, my experiences so far has been positive, the staff are nice ans professional, the facility is new and is being updated, and they definitely stand out as probably the best office I've been to. For those if you with kids, they have this BIG nifty coin machine just full of cool little things for the kids, and I've had to stop myself from asking for a bouncy ball as I leave each time...

We were patients of Dr. Souza for 10 years. We had to reschedule a late afternoon appointment due to a family emergency. It was our first cancellation. We called at 8AM. They charged us $50. It is there company policy, but after explaining why we rescheduled they did not budge, writing we were welcome to go elsewhere. It felt like a slap in the face for loyal patients in the face of a dying family member. We will be moving our business to another practice.

Always a good experience. All the staff are very professional, friendly & helpful. First time in my life I've ever been to the dentist for a cleaning and not been brutalized. Glad I stumbled upon this place.

Lacey did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth today. Very personable and friendly. Sheldon Dental has always been my number 1 pick for Dental needs. I have never had one bad experience there and have been going for years. I applaud Daniel Sheldon, the other dentists and his great staff!

Dr. Daniel Sheldon and his dental hygienist performed a very thorough, though relatively quick and efficient job. My mouth was considerably numb afterwards (and looked positively misshapen), but a few hours later, my mouth returned to a normal-feeling state. And the cost--to me--of filling two cavities was only the approximate amount of $89.00 (I believe). An excellent bargain if it does prevent further tooth decay. Thank you!

My entire family has gone to Sheldon Dental Group back when our wonderful Dr Larry was with us. Fortunately his great son Dan followed in his footsteps. Our oldest son even went to high school together. So it's kinda a family thing we've been around so long! Had to go in just yesterday for emergency tooth pain and see Dr Christie for the first time. She was wonderful, put my mind right at ease and her assistant as well. Great staff. Bottom line if you are a little nervous about going to the dentist, don't be, Dr Dan and his staff will completely make you feel completely comfortable, just like family! Would NEVER go anywhere else. Thanks to all at Sheldon Dental!!

Love this place! Staff is great and welcoming, the front office takes time to answer all your questions about billing and pre-insurance submission, they take care of you throughout any work needing done, and give you a accurate recommendation for work to be completed with no hidden agendas. Recently started working with them after a horrendous experience with a previous dentist, and sooooo glad I made the switch!
