Dr. Cherilyn Sheets is an educator, clinician, author and lecturer, both nationally and internationally. She is Co-Executive Director of the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, an international non-profit teaching and research center. She is also a Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the USC School of Dentistry and is on their Board of Councilors. Dr. Sheets is a Past President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Academy of Dentistry International, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry. She received the 2002 Gordon Christensen Award for Excellence in Lecturing, the 2004 USC School of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year Award, and the 2006 Section of Honor Award (Distinguished Dentist Award) from the California Section of the Pierre Fauchard International Honor Dental Academy. Dr. Sheets is co-principal of research project on dental implants and cracked teeth with James C. Earthman, PhD at the UCI School of Engineering. Dr. Sheets has authored over 100 articles and has co-authored numerous textbook chapters.
Dr. Sheets serves on numerous editorial boards of peer-reviewed journals. She is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Childrens Dental Center in Inglewood, California, which is a non-profit prototype dental center for providing multidisciplinary care to children of the working poor. She is also the Founding Chairman of the Board of the National Childrens Oral Health Foundation.
Dr. Jean Wu graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree in 1990 and earned a Masters in Prosthodontics in 1994 from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She completed advanced training in Maxillofacial Prosthetics studying at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr Wu maintained a full time Prosthodontic private practice in Australia, and was a Prosthodontist at the Royal Childrens Hospital of Melbourne. She was also a distinguished lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Melbourne and past president of the Australian Prosthodontic Society.
After relocating to the United States in 1999, Dr. Wu earned a DDS at the University of Tennessee and was an instructor and lecturer in the Restorative Dentistry Department. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with highest honors and awarded membership of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Richard Doggett Dean and Margarite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society for her outstanding dental achievements.
Dr. Wu is on the Executive Council for Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics and Immediate Past-President for Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. She was a Board member of the Orange County Dental Society in 2011 and Senior Delegate in 2012. Currently, Dr. Wu is Partner in the Sheets, Paquette and Wu Dental Practice and on faculty with the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, a non-profit international teaching and research center. She is also actively involved with several research projects on dental implants and materials, published articles in several dental journals, and Editor of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics.

Awesome! Dr. Wu did a complete examination using advanced tools and checking every possible detail regarding not only teeth and mouth but including general health and how it might affect one's dental health. And x -rays, of course, from every possible angle. She was very communicative and professional in every way. Her assisting hygienist, Liz, was cheerful and excellent as well. It's an outstanding practice.

This is a WORLD class dental practice. I'm not prone to hyperbole's - I truly believe you would be hard pressed to find a dental office anywhere else in this world that is as talented and detail oriented as Sheets, Paquette & Wu. They are the gold standard of dentistry, and my beautiful smile and oral health are the proof. I couldn't recommend a dental group more highly

Such kind and caring dentists and staff. Nothing but 5 stars for this practice. We were treated with so much respect and concern. I am exceptionally appreciative of their entire office! Dr. Wu saw me this day as I had an emergency prior to a holiday weekend. She listened to my history (first time with her as a patient), took notes, explained everything she found and what the best options were. She had a very gentle touch and manner, and was very thorough.

I have a big fear of going to the dentist, like a lot of people. So I chose Sheets, Paquette & Wu because they specialize in sedation dentistry. Their techniques and practices put me at ease. I love Sheets & Paquette. Dr Paquette is a spectatcular dentist, is fun to work with, & is a world class beauty. I had a complete reconstruction due to an accident & she made it as pleasant as possible every step of the way. I actually look forward to going in for dental work when I know I get to see her & work with her terrific staff. She is a 10 in every way!

Not surprised that Sheets, Paquette, and Wu reopened their doors with high quality, phenomenal service, and high sensitivity toward the pandemic with all the proper precautions in place. Michelle is wonderful coordinating my appointments with great care, Christie was so personable and detailed with my teeth cleaning, and Dr. Wu squeezed me in for my semi-annual review next week! It is great that you are back!

Everything was perfect at my cleaning today with Connie, I was concerned about covid 19 but felt completely safe in the amazingly clean fresh purified air and all the extra precautions adopted. I would describe this office as dental heaven, the best of the best.
