Our dental team shows carefor our patients by respecting and treating them as family. Our office is very fortunate to be as successful as we have been and we enjoy giving back to our community by being active and trying to make a difference. Here is just some of the fun activities that we have had the privilegeto be involved in:
Dr. Sheets was born and raised in Jackson. The education he received graduating from Vandercook Lake High School in 1981 readied him for the University of Michigan. He knew early in his high school career that he wanted to become a dentist. After working in the research lab, he entered dental school a year early and graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1988.
Dr. Sheets motivation is to treat every patient as though they are a family member. He strives to give special attention to each patient. The most satisfying aspect of dentistry is knowing that the team can change their life. With modern technology and improved techniques, dental treatment can be done more efficiently and comfortably through the use of Cerec technology to make crowns in a single visit, digital x-rays, and a CT scanner (3D x-ray imaging).
Dr. Sheets feels blessed to be a dentist, but the most important people in his life is his family. He has been married to his wife, Kim, since 1985 and she is the most special and caring person. They have four great kids, Nicole, Katie, Kristen, and JJ and have been blessed with one grandson, Ty.
Dr. Sheets is also dedicated to volunteerism by donating time to numerous community events. He was a long-time coach for Western softball, little league, youth football and youth basketball programs. He has also been honored to serve on the Western District School board and has served as president since 2010. Dr. Sheets strives to lead by example and being fair to everyone.

I would love to say this is a great dentist office, but I just can't. I went there for YEARS. They made me an appointment right after I had a baby and I told them I was running about 30 minutes late and they told me they would have to cancel my appointment then. After that I missed ONE appointment. Then they scheduled me for a appointment for an x ray and I called them back and said I got in somewhere else for an emergency and they gave me antibiotics, so I figured they took me off the list for that appointment. No. They used this as I missed 3 APPOINTMENTS and told me they would no longer see me after going there for most of my life. Dr. Sheets is nice and I THOUGHT the person working front desk was too until all this happened. There other staff is not very friendly. I am SO disappointed with the way I was treated in this dentist office. I even tried to explain all this information to the person who works front desk and they did not even care to listen.

I have gone to Sheets Family Dentistry my entire life and have always been so happy with my experience. The staff is all so wonderful and I don't know why I haven't left a review before. They always make sure you are informed and comfortable during your appointment.

Absolutely amazing staff! They go above and beyond for their patients and take the time to make patients feel comfortable. My children even ask to go back because they enjoyed the experience so much! Highly recommend!

I initially went in for a chipped tooth and have had nothing but issues since. In my first visit both of my front, bottom teeth were filed down and bonded only for the left one to chip after 3 days when the dentist told me herself that they'd last about 10 years before needing to be redone. I was told that I shouldn't need a mouth guard, even though I have signs of grinding, or to avoid any food, basically just go on about my life as usual. I went back in thinking they'd fix my tooth only to have them blame me and file both teeth down far below where my real teeth are which has caused issues with my bite. Now my right tooth has chipped after 5 weeks. Lesson learned so I made an appointment with a new dentist only to receive a phone call saying that I had a balance that needed to be paid off before they could release my records to my new dentist. The last time I was there was to fix the second chip which they said that I didn't have a balance since it was so soon after my first visit. Balance paid, I owe them nothing and now I'm left to deal with my compromised teeth until my appointment with my new dentist.
