I had to have root canal and Dr Sheaffer does a very great job from the pre-appointment, to the actual procedure to check what concerns you have and questions and empathetic and knowledgeable about answering them. They had this awesome massage chair that kind of helps give you something "else" to think about. I brought my AirPods so I could listen to one(I figured the other one I better leave out so I can hear when they tell me what I'm supposed to do) and he offered Spotify or headphones if it worked with my phone so they really try to make you as comfortable as possible. The assistant was super friendly and great to work with. YMMV afterward but I took two Tylenol before the procedure as suggested and had zero pain and zero soreness afterward. I did not feel anything during the procedure - I have had regular cleanings that were more of an issue. The reception is so so. The office assistant filed my pre-op appointment with my insurance but I was told when I checked out after the actual procedure that I had to file that appointment myself. She had had some problem with someone saying it was not filed so therefore, now everyone was going to have to file their own and she would not be doing it anymore and she gave me the paper to file it. This is a hassle that I was not expecting and after having all that done the hour before I didn't feel like fussing. I don't have a fax machine (who has a fax machine anymore?), so I'm going to have to go to the post office and put it in the snail mail. Kind of annoying that one person had an issue for the 99.99% of the rest of us that had no issues with the insurance getting filed.

I had a root canal and was naturally nervous. It was completely pain free. Plus, Dr. Sheaffer is not only skilled as a dentist, he is skilled with people. If you fear dental work, you should see him. He will work accurately and efficiently and make you feel safe and secure in the process.

Came here with my wife for a consultation, which should lead to a root canal. We don't live in Raleigh, but this is the office recommended by our Benson, NC dentist. So far, so good.

Best experience! Great calm, warm and inviting environment. Dr Sheaffer walked me through the entire process and made me feel at peace during my root canal procedure. The massaging chairs were also a plus

I can't begin to explain how great this team is! After letting them know my dental anxiety, they were so gentle, accommodating and stepped their way through the process so I would have no fears. The team is great, they remembered who I was and even asked about my fur babies (even after months of not seeing them) I would completely recommend this team to anyone!

Due to some bad dentistry in the past, I have had more than one root canal with Dr. Sheaffer. He is incredible, tells you exactly what's going to happen and ensures you are as comfortable as can be. The staff is all great too. If there were six stars, I'd give them six :-)

Excellent attention. Staff very friendly and personable. If needed, I would definitely return. No pain plus all anxiety relieved within minutes of meeting Dr. Sheaffer. He even walked me to my car. Overly impressed. This was not my first root canal so I am an experienced patient at evaluating experience. A cut above!!!

I cannot sing his praises enough. My comfort was foremost during treatment. I have had several root canals and this was the best. A thoroughly pleasant experience, believe it or not. If you want a painless procedure, this is the place.

I am in awe and amazement, Dr. shaeffer is a compassionate and calm dentist that helped calm my nerves and stayed mindful of how I felt at all times. He has restored my faith and trust with dental experiences. All staff where very nice and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

I can't believe I am saying this... but I had a great time at the dentist! I have been having oral pain for weeks and Dr. Sheaffer took the time to actually figure out what is wrong and what we can do to fix it. He explained everything very well and I feel great about the plan in place. In addition his staff was friendly and efficient.

Wow...why can't all dentists be like Dr. Sheaffer!! Totally professional man with excellent skills, an organized approach, super clean office and ......a wonderful warm office staff. What stands out most is his kindness, his attention to patient anxiety and his constant verbal support. I went for a root canal and, like many people, was scared. I left feeling like I was his only patient that day.....his care was focused and reassuring to me, personally. What a joy to be treated with respect and not demeaned or ignored because of being anxious. And, get this, Dr. Shaeffer gives patients his personal cell phone number to call if problems arise. How many providers do that?? If you need Endodontics treatment......he is the absolute BEST Part Two: May 2021. Had to have a little bit more work done so back to Dr. Sheaffer! The level of attention to my comfort as well as the efficient professional demeanor of the whole staff....is great. It does not get any better than this, folks. Outstanding.

I have extreme dental anxiety and today I had a root canal at Dr. Christians practice. I was beyond stressed but the experience was very positive. The staff is friendly, caring and very calming. Dr Christian was amazing and made sure I was comfortable and calm. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr Sheaffer did a root canal on me today and it was painless. The Doctor was very gentle and the staff pleasant. If I need another one I will be going back to him.

If you have to get a root canal, I can't recommend Dr. Sheaffer enough. He was overwhelmingly accommodating, doing everything he could to ensure my comfort and ease my anxiety about the procedure. He was so kind and professional not only with me, but also in the way he interacted with his staff. When I had complications, he was quickly available via phone- top notch customer service!

I don't normally do reviews but Dr.Shaffer and his staff are Amazing! My 12 year old needed a root canal and Dr.Shaffer and his assistant made him feel so at ease, they explained the procedure and talked him through the whole thing. I highly recommend his practice.
