Our Shawnee, OK dental practice is headed by two highly skilled dental practitioners: Dr. Loren Israelsen and Dr. Monica Wandro. All three recognize the importance of developing great relationships with their patients and bring their passion for dentistry to the table every day. With the recent purchase of the practice by Dr. Israelsen, our Shawnee dentist office is poised to care for the smiles of the next generation.
I enjoy hanging out with my wife and two children. We love the outdoors, hiking, and biking. I grew up on a small farm in northern Utah, and had the opportunity to raise cattle, pigs and sheep. I enjoyed showing animals at the county fair growing up, and look forward to allowing my children the same opportunity. I learned the value of hardwork and other valuable life lessons growing up on a farm. I love family dentistry and developing relationships with my patients and their families. Im working right now on extra training to perfect dental implants and Invisalign orthodontics.
Having recently moved from Iowa, my husband and I have enjoyed a change of scenery. We have been exploring Oklahoma by hiking, biking, and kayaking across the state. Being an Iowa State University (Biology) and University of Iowa (Doctor of Dental Surgery) alum, I am adjusting to seeing Sooners and Cowboys gear everywhere. However, exchanging -5 degrees for 105 degrees wasnt a bad trade. We cant wait to discover all that Oklahoma has to offer!
Dentistry techniques are always advancing- making life-long learning fun and rewarding! Ive newly completed advanced training for clear aligners orthodontics and am exploring the benefits digital and 3D dentistry has to offer. Ive worked with patients ranging from ages 1 to 100 years! My job is to make visiting the dentist an enjoyable experience and that starts with forming positive relationships from the moment youre in my chair. Dr. Amy Le grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and she then graduated from dental school at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Le likes to be around family, friends, and her pup, Arthur. She also loves giving her time to Good Shepherd Clinic and Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, as well as serving on dental mission trips. Her favorite part of dentistry is getting to know her patients. Dr. Le works to help every patient feel comfortable talking about their goals and working on them together.

I received very courteous and professional treatment laced with a good dose of humor. The procedure was complicated by a tooth that did not act normally. However the doctors stayed with it untill they got it all out. Thanks you all for a great job and a wonderful atmosphere. Bill

My daughter is terrified of dentists and ALL of the staff was VERY helpful making her feel comfortable and confident. They listened and explained things to ease her anxiety and gave her ample time to process. They helped restore her confidence in going to a dentist. AMAZING staff and dentists. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I currently do not have dental insurance, and Karen was very friendly and helpful giving us information to identify our financial options for our extensive dental care. The new patient cleaning was very affordable, and Ashley and Tiffany gave us great patient care with their xrays and cleaning, while treating us like old friends. We actually enjoyed our dental visit! I would definitely recommend Shawnee Dentistry and Braces to a friend.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They are knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate. They instantly made my child comfortable and eased her nerves with kindness and made sure she knew each reason for each part of her visit. I would 100% recommend them, especially for those fearful of dental visits.

*UPDATE: New dentist found 3 small cavities that needed filled. These didn't happen in the week since our appointment here. Shawnee Dentistry and Braces should have caught these if they had done a proper exam, but they didn't. My daughter had been a patient here for 2-3 years. We have always been happy and appreciative for the quality care she has received. My daughter is considered an adult on Soonercare, so we were told today they could no longer see her. I completely understand this. However, what I don't understand is why, with this being an appointment that has been scheduled for approximately 6 months, someone didn't contact me to let me know. They went ahead today and cleaned her teeth, but no X-rays, or doctor exam was done. Again, I understand that they didn't want to do services for which they wouldn't be reimbursed. I would just like to have known so that my daughter could have scheduled with another dentist to have a full exam.
