Dr. Shawn M. Perce is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 1998 and went on to earn his doctorate with High Honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Perce was nominated by his peers and selected by faculty at the University of Florida College of Dentistry for the Student Ethics Award, which is given to the student with the 'highest ethics in personal, clinical and academic arenas.' During his tenure at the University of Florida, Dr. Perce was also awarded the Stephen D. Keeling Award for Research Excellence in Orthodontics. He followed that up in 2004 with a Master of Science in Dentistry and Orthodontic Certificate from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Upon the completion of his residency, he was awarded the Fredrick T. West Award for Leadership.
To stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Perce maintains active memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and their constituent organizations. He is also a former board member and Past President of the Jacksonville Dental Society.
In 2010, he was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honorary dental service organization with a focus on professionalism, integrity and ethics. He is also a former coordinator of the Duval County Give Kids a Smile program, a nationwide dental access campaign to provide free dental treatment to underprivileged children. Dr. Perce is a proud sponsor of many local schools and programs in the area including Wolfson Children's Hospital where he is recognized as a DreamMaker - a distinguished group of the DreamCoat Society.
Outside of the office, Dr. Perce most enjoys spending time with his wife, Suzanne, and their three children: Taylor, Kate, and Jack. He is an avid Gator fan and enjoys traveling with his family to his alma mater on game days. In his spare time, Dr. Perce enjoys running, kayak fishing, golfing and playing the guitar.
Julie joined our front desk team in 2015 and has added her own positive nature to our team. She has 3 children and enjoys spending time with her family and her goldendoodle. She loves being outdoors, taking walks and going to the beach.
Heather has 20 years experience as a clinical assistant and recently moved into the treatment coordinator position where she enjoys helping patients and their families with the new patient process. Heather and her family are dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fans. In her free time, Heather enjoys going to the beach, reading, participating in 5K's, and spending time with her family.
Mandi joined our practice in 2007 and is a highly skilled chairside clinician. Mandi and her husband have two children and she is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a faithful Steelers fan and on the weekends you can find her cheering on her children at baseball tournaments and cheer competitions.
Ann has been in the field for many years and recently moved from Rhode Island with her family. In her spare time Ann enjoys walking, the beach, and spending time with her two adorable golden retrievers. She is also an avid New England Patriots fan.

Best children's Orthodontist there is! Staff and Dr Perce are always amazing!! I never have issues with scheduling or contact like our old office. Very nice office and with up to date equipment as well. Highly recommend!

My dentist actually referred me to Dr. Perce for medical reasons, not necessarily cosmetic reasons. I wanted traditional braces, but because of my medical reasons and some missing teeth, I wasn't a good candidate for braces, so Dr. Perce said for my treatment plan, Invisalign was the best option for me, and I was okay with that. Dr. Perce was very thorough and informative regarding what my treatment plan would be and how long I would be in the Invisalign. There are payment plan options if needed for your treatment. After my consultation, I decided to move forward with my treatment plan. I was taken in the back and scanned for the Invisalign. Fast forward a couple of weeks, the office I called sooner than I expected to inform me my Invisalign was in and to make an appointment; the fitting lasted about an hour. The office is very lovely, and the staff is amazing and super customer service friendly.

Dr. Perce and his staff go above and beyond expectations. We experienced unforeseen delays in the final steps of my daughter's implant and veneer process leaving Dr. Perce one day to do his part. Julie fit us in and the whole team worked together in getting my daughter's retainer made and fitted a day prior to her going to college. Throughout her entire ortho treatment, they were always flexible, professional, and cheerful with great results.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Everything is wonderful Dr Perce, the staff, the office, the results. Saw them for almost two years and they went above and beyond every time they even delivered my retainer to my house because they didn't want me to go without it for an extended amount of time. They're always so friendly and I'm just a little bummed that my braces are off and I won't be going as much.

Always a delight to visit Dr. Perce and the amazing staff.
