Dr. Christina Shaw holds a BA from Georgetown University, a DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificatefrom the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is very excited to be returning to her home state of Massachusetts and taking over for her dad after practicing for three years in northern Virginia.
Dr. Shaw is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the Dental National Honor Society), the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Worcester District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also certified to provide Invisalign and in the use of the soft tissue diode dental laser.
Happy to be returning home with her husband, Dr. Shaw is excited to be near her parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews, all of whom live in the Wachusett Region. She is also honored to be carrying on the tradition of high quality dentistry started by her father nearly forty years ago, as he is retiring.
Gene is originally from Leicester, MA and received her training at Mount Ida College. She is one of the first faces you'll see at Shaw Family Smiles, and her patients are also her friends as she's been with the practice for 39 years!
Mary is originally from Leicester, MA. She received her training from Quinsigamond Community College. Mary has been a hygienist at our practice for 18 years and says that the best thing about her job is her patients.
For Patty, one of the best things about being a hygienist is being able to treat her patients and seeing the improvements this brings for their oral health. She also enjoys building relationships with her patients and co-workers.

I was a patient of Dr. John Shaw for almost 40 years. I always received superior care from Dr Shaw and his hygienist Mary. Jean is excellent handling insurance and scheduling and always has a friendly smile. Dr Christina Shaw continues the family tradition of superior and caring care.

Dr. Christina Shaw is an amazing dentist. She is calm, caring, and great at communicating with me about what she sees and why she recommends treatment. My fillings were painless and have held up well for many years now! I am an orthodontist myself, so I work with dentists on a daily basis and can say with certainty that Dr. Shaw is one of the very best.

We have been coming to Shaw Family Smiles for more than 38 years! My husband and I started coming before we were married and now our children and fiancee are patients. Everyone in the office is caring, kind and are like family to us. If you have any issues or need to cancel, they are right there resolving and reworking. We just love our "Dr. Shaw's" and their staff! Congratulation on an office well run!

Dr. Shaw and the hygienists are great, but the check in and wait are ridiculous. I show up on time and each appointment it takes 20 minutes or more to just check in. The front desk person says I'll be with you in a minute and then works on the computer. Meanwhile there are no other patients waiting in the waiting room. I respect their time and show up early/on time, but sitting in the waiting room for 20-30 minutes to just check in is insane.

Am sorry to see Dr. Shaw retire as I was the beneficiary of his superior dental artistry for THIRTY years! Looking forward to more of the same from his daughter/successor Dr. Christina Shaw.My hygienist there is Erica. She has been awesome in her work for 29 of the 30 years I have been a patient there. Jean at the front desk is pleasant and efficient and genuinely caring. I recommend this practice unreservedly. Happy trails to Dr. John!

Coming from someone who doesn't like going to the dentist, Dr Shaw and his staff did a great job. The front staff and assistants immediately put me at ease, while Dr Shaw walked me through the options and procedure. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend his practice to anyone looking for a dentist they can trust.
