Dr. Shauna Gauthier was born and raised in Vermont. She received her undergraduate degreeat theUniversity of Vermontand earned aDoctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at theUniversity of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then went on to complete a residencyin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery atWoodhull Medical Centerin Brooklyn, New York, whichincluded training in general surgery, medicine, and general anesthesia.
Dr. Gauthier Is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. TheAmerican Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery evaluates a specialist and ensures that theyhave the requisite training, education, knowledge and experience that are needed to provide high quality patient care in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Gauthier is the current president of the New Hampshire Oral Surgery Society and Presidentof the New Hampshire Dental Societys Lakes Region component. She is also an Examiner forthe New Hampshire Board of Dentistry Anesthesia Review Committee.
Dr. Gauthiers areas of expertise include wisdom teeth removal, general anesthesia andintravenous anesthesia, oral pathology, and dental infections.Her special interest is in dentalimplant placement, bone grafting, and sinus lift procedures. Dr. Gauthier attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year to remain at the forefront of the latestprocedures and technologies.

5 Star experience!! I was scheduled for an extraction for a broken tooth. After reading all the negative reviews, I was very concerned; as I have had terrible experience in the past. I must say I highly recommend Shauna and her team! The staff was very attentive and caring and Shauna the dentist took her time to make sure I was comfortable. I felt no pain at all and was sent home with clear aftercare instructions. These are the type of experiences that will have me referring this office! Highly recommend and I am so grateful for the caring nature they displayed to lower my anxiety over my past experiences. Thank you all so much!

My experience with Dr Gauthier was initially good- she came highly recommended by my dentist. But her office policies are a mess and inane- I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in the medical/ dental field. First- from my initial visit & x-ray- it took 3 months for her office to contact my dentist for consultation on another tooth. I finally made an appointment for two broken teeth to be extracted and implants put in. Five weeks later, (exactly one week before the procedure), I get a call confirming my appointment- and that they need the $900+ by the end of business that day- I was told this was for the cost of materials for the bone grafts. Needless to say, I didn't have that kind of money hanging around, so I told the secretary I'd call next business day- once I figured out how I could do this. When I did, saying I could bring the check in that day- "too late" was the response: they'd already gave my appointment away- so I make another appointment a month later. The morning of that appointment, I call from my truck in the parking lot & meet the nurse to take my vitals & do the covid questionnaire. I answered honestly- I did have a headache the week before (which may have been sinus in nature)- but I had no symptoms nor effects. "You'll have to reschedule" I was told after waiting to go into the office for my appointment. I took 2 days off of work and had nothing to show for them. As I walked away, I told the nurse that I couldn't keep taking time off for nothing and that I wanted my check and x-rays sent to me- I would get the work done elsewhere. The office instead waited 3 weeks, then cashed the check and made me overdrawn at my bank. I'm sure Dr Gauthier is a good oral surgeon, but her office is costing her thousands of dollars, with actions like these. I would not recommend this office. Judging from many of the previous reviews here, my story is hardly isolated.

All around HORRIBLE experience. PLEASE I beg you don't waste your time and money at this office. They have not even one ounce of professionalism and have the RUDEST STAFF EVER. Can't imagine a worst taste in my mouth than I got from dealing with these people.

By far the worst experience I've ever had my normal dentist referred me to her sent all my X-rays too yee and all my info when I called and stains I wanted to set up an appointment an was immediately treated rude for asking simple questions my teeth are in extreame pain and we set up an appointment as early as possible but then I got a call back saying they didn't except my incurable but I have gotten procedures here with the same insurance so for her to lie to me just to take me off a list is extremely unprofessional I will be looking into this further as no one in pain should be shoved to their side cause it's inconvenient

Rudest staff ever. Really bad experience. Also keep in mind they have very limited payment options and won't tell you about that unless you ask. The doctor also pushed for surgery--to the point of being about to schedule a time for surgery without offering any more details--but when pressed on the matter the truth was that the surgery totally wasn't needed at ALL.

We've always had very good service, and care here, sometimes it takes longer than desired when you're in pain to get an appointment, and the prices are little on the higher end. But over all I'd recommend this office.

I had a broken molar that needed to be extracted as it was causing me a world of pain and discomfort. I tried to have it removed at a different dental office and left traumatized and with a broken tooth still in my mouth. Although I was incredibly nervous making another appointment, I'm SO glad I chose to go to Dr. Gauthier. The quickest and swiftest extraction with virtually no pain and awesome & attentive staff. My dental anxiety is no longer, if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!!

Dr. Gauthier is great. She performed a pretty difficult wisdom teeth surgery on my girlfriend and she came out with no issues at all. Dr. Gauthier was so kind she gave a courtesy call later in the night to ensure she was feeling okay. Really great doctor.

My mom and I went to my appointment for my wisdom teeth. When we arrived, the assistant said that my 2 brothers had to go back in the car in the 82deg weather. We all had masks on. The assistant went out back to talk with the doctor about what she could do. When she came back, she said that we would need to reschedule my appointment. When my mom confronted her about how it's ridiculous that she said my brothers had to stay in the car in such hot weather, the lady completely lied in our faces how she didn't say that. How my youngest brother had said it but he said " he's going outside to wait". She looks at me and asks " Did I say that?" When I said " Yeah you did" she says " Oh okay" and walks in the building. Everyone was rude and I don't recommend.
