Our teeth are preserved and protected by the hardest substance in the human body, the enamel. Once this enamel has been altered through decay, trauma, physical or chemical abrasion it must be removed. It is our goal to conserve as much of the remaining enamel and dentine as possible. Using advanced techniques and modern technology we are able to preserve and in some cases remineralize the remaining enamel and dentine. Our office strives to preserve the teeth with minimally invasive procedures such as composite bonding, sealants, veneers and many other techniques that preserve and enhance the remaining tooth structure.

The structures that support the teeth are the gum tissue and bone. These structures must be preserved and in some cases stimulated to regenerate where possible. This is done by a combination of in office cleanings and at home removal of food debris on a daily basis. We engage the patient to become part of the preservation procedures by teaching proper home care. When routine dental cleanings are combined with proper home care, the supporting structures can be preserved for a lifetime.
