Dr. Andy Ingersoll is from a small town in Utah. He went to American Fork High School where his grandfather was his biology teacher, principal and best friend. Growing up, he wanted to be either a teacher like his grandfather or a professional golfer. However, when his 20+ handicap wouldnt get him into professional golf, he decided to pursue other interests.
After high school, Dr Andy lived in France for a couple of years as a missionary for his church. Later, Dr. Andy attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in French and minor in Business.
Dr. Andys great-grandfather was also a dentist, and his interest in dentistry started when he visited his grandfathers office that was in the basement of his grandfathers home. He remembers thinking that with all those cool tools that dentists get to use, dentists must have the best job ever.
Dr. Andy chose to attend dental school in Cleveland, OH, where he attended Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. He graduated dental school in 2010, and upon graduation, he was awarded the Deans Clinical Achievement Award for being one of the top clinicians in his dental class.
Following graduation, Dr. Andy completed an arduous Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. This residency strengthened Dr. Andys skills in advanced dentistry procedures.
Following residency, the Air Force transferred the Ingersoll family to England where they served a three-year tour at RAF Lakenheath, near Cambridge, UK. Dr. Andy thoroughly enjoyed serving his country in the United States Air Force and contributed greatly to the mission of the 48th Dental Squadron.
While in the Air Force, Dr. Andy particularly enjoyed his time in the pediatric clinic. He had so much fun working with and treating the children who were stationed with their parents in England that he decided to pursue additional training in pediatric dentistry.
