Dr. Richard M. M. Lee is a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He is of Chinese and Spaniard descent. He attended San Antonio private catholic schools from childhood through undergraduate college. In 1985, he was a scholarship recipient enrolled at The University of Incarnate Word early admissions pre-dental program in where he successfully completed curriculum requirements with honors. He earned another scholarship and was accepted at The University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating Class of 1992. Upon completion of Dental School, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree receiving the Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry and was on The Deans List. Dr. Richard Lee continues to expand his knowledge through annual continuing dental education courses. In 1994, he relocated to the Rio Grande Valley to accept the Dental Director position at Hidalgo County Health Care Corporation, in which he served for 2 years. In 1996, Dr. Richard Lee established Sharyland Family Dentistry, PC in Mission, TX. His private practice has grown to be a very reputable, quality general dental practice treating every patient with exceptional care. Dr. Richard Lee has over 25 years experience as a general dentist and feels blessed to know that he has helped many people locally. He could not ask for a better occupation or better people to spend his time with. When Dr. Lee is not working, he enjoys father-son time, running, volunteering at PAWS, motorcycle rides, and traveling. Dr. Richard Lee looks forward to working with you to create a beautiful and healthy smile for life!

I specficaly asked if an extracrion could be done because I was self paid, and did not want to pay for an exam and not have tooth extracted. Your office should have just sent me to an oral surgeon to began with. IF ANYONE needs a tooth pulled, I do not recommend this place. You will be outsourced to an oral surgeon where they want to charge you again for another exam and x-ray, just go straight to the oral surgeon if you need an extraction. Save your money don't pay twice for exam and xray.

I went here back in January and was told I needed a root canal and other fillings done. They sent me to a specialist and he recommended an extraction. That specialist called this dentist and spoke to them and told them his recommendation. Then I went home and called this dentist office myself that same day. I kept waiting for them to call me for an appointment to get SOMETHING done for my teeth. I finally called them on March 7th to ask what was going on. Lucy told me quote" did you ever go see the specialist". I told her yes I did and you got 2 phone calls about it. No one apologized to me. I called again 2 days later. Still no one ever apologized to me and to this date no one even called me to try to set up an appointment. This is a terrible place. They don't care about anybody. Lucy is incompetent. Why hasn't anyone called me? Do the dentists know what is going on here? I have been very upset about this. YOU OWE ME AN APOLOGY.

HONEST REVIEW: My family and I have been patients at Dr. Lee's office for over 15 years now. This gentleman treats his patients with the utmost care and respect! I recently (yesterday 1/18/2022) went for a procedure that requires anesthesia. I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. I was so afraid of getting any work done as always. Dr. Lee and his staff have a way of making you feel calm and for that , I wholeheartedly thank them! I trust Dr. Lee and his staff 100% with my children and myself. Their office is ALWAYS clean, their staff is friendly and Dr. Lee will always call you via phone post any procedure to check up on you. Also, their rooms are private . You're getting dental work done solo! None of this sharing a big room with 10 other patients ! Given the circumstances, (pandemic) I feel safe knowing the next patient is completely separated from my room! Thank you Dr.Lee & staff for your hard work !

Recently moved back to Mission and was happy to be able to be back with Dr.Lee. Always a great experience! I have a son with Special Needs and Dr.Lee and his staff have always been extremely patient, kind and take the time to put my son at ease; just like old times. I also appreciate the staff and billing who explain everything up front as far as costs, etc.
