Dr. Sharda received his Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology fromDuke University. He then received a research position at theHarvard School of Dental Medicine. The year following his research experience at Harvard, Dr. Sharda completed a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences in North Chicago, Illinois. Upon completion of his Masters degree, Dr. Sharda completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at theUNC School of Dentistryin Chapel Hill. Dr. Sharda then went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry throughEast Carolina Universitys community service learning centers in order to give back to those communities in need. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Sharda and his wife moved back to Durham and are thrilled to become a part of the Creedmoor and Butner communities!
Sharda Family Dentistry offers comprehensive treatment planning covering all aspects restorative and cosmetic dentistry including cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions. Dr. Alok Sharda has the expertise to offer many complex procedures in-house, including endodontic treatment (root canals) and surgical extractions, as well as dental implants. We offer cosmetic smile design with Invisalign clear braces, teeth whitening, and cosmetic fillings as well as partial and full dentures.

Dr. Sharda and his entire staff were absolutely incredible. My tooth had a crack in it and he quickly identified an optimal treatment plan. He was very knowledgeable and clearly laid out my options without me feeling like I was being taken advantage (like I have at other dentists in the past). His office worked directly with my insurance company without causing any headaches. I would highly recommend!!!

Dr. Sharda is an awesome dentist - I was really nervous about finding a dentist I love in a new town but am so glad I found Sharda Family Dentistry - they were warm, informative and did a great job with my first cleaning! I will be bringing my whole family soon - thank you to the team there!
