I previous had a long review raving about what a amazing job shapter did with my children as we drove 2hrs to be seen at the office they were very accommodating and amazing. My 3yro had a 7hr dental surgery with dr shapter. I will not deny he did wonderful work with my son along with the surgery center-AMAZING...HOWEVER-I went to a very demanding fast track nursing program that made my schedule not as flexible as it was when I was a SAHM of course. Being we are so far Away (this is a all day trip/nothing else for us dentist day)I could never get a appointment over the last year that would work with my intensive nursing school for their check up.NEVER could schedule us on a day I had off.. Now it's been a year exactly since my last review(went back and double checked)&the office refuses to see my children. Now my son has a broken spacer and no dentist.Thanks dr shapter. I'm just highly disappointed...they said it had been two years but it absolutely has not been! ITS BEEN ONE. So here we are changed insurances for this office specifically now I'm looking into driving 3hrs to pittsburg to find a state insurance accepting dentist. Sure he's a great dentist he's got a different type of personality def not your bubbly ped provider but if u want good dental work for your children and if you have absolutely nothing else going on in your life and can go to the appointment exactly when the office staff say to go OF they will even be bothered with scheduling you... it might be a good fit.

Why all this negative reviews. Honestly it is a great safe place professional work to take you child in. Dr Shapter Daivd did a great job filling cavity on my child teeth was very very nice with my child. This place worth more than 5 stars

I have been calling since Tuesday and not one person has called me back. Nobody answers the phone. The emergency extension does not even work

Can not describe how horrible dental experience I have experienced when I used to see Dr. Shapter! Very rude to me and others ! I don't appreciate at all for a lot of times, SEVERAL occasions treated me with complete disrespect AND spoke to me with Condescending tone of voice ! I have personally experienced severe DENTAL anxiety/phobia and PTSD from horrid experiences from his office as a young child. Never again will ever recommend this office to anyone! Very unprofessional! I have never want back to him! Glad I left his office for good!!!! Never want to deal that office ever! His office used to be on PEACH street, across from store and PNC bank! I wish I could rate to ZERO ! I have heard many NEGATIVE reviews ! Will never recommend this dentist to anyone!

If you are looking to get great dental work done this is the place for you. If you are looking for a dentist that's compassionate, treats you and your child with dignity and respect call first to see what mood he's in that day.

I would rate this place below ZERO stars!! I do recall Dr. Shapter had very poor chairside manners. I have had horrible memories as a child, suffered PTSD from this dentist who has insulted me and being so RUDE to me on many occasions !!!! Not a fan of dentist. This dental office offers Lack of caring towards me and others. Do NOT bring your child here. Never go to this dentist !!!

Just f*ing disgusting.. Ask to read your kids' medical records... you will be shocked at what they write. Perfect setup for predatory behavior. DO NOT let your children be left alone at this office! They won't let you go back with them. Find someone else! I was a patient myself, and also a nursing student. I've put the pieces together. Dr. Shapter should not be allowed to practice.

I can't not rate this place high enough! Took my 6 year old to get two fillings today, I was blow away by the doctor and her assistant! They made my little girl feel so secure, talked to her the whole time and spoke in terms she would understand (even using her fav Frozen characters). It was a flawless, quick procedure! Even scheduling my other kiddos in the way out was efficient, easy and staff was friendly! Highly recommend!

Office doesnt like to return phone calls for months. I guess since I cannot schedule an appointment I need a new dentist for my kids.

If I could rate this place negative stars I would. This is the worst place to take a child. Both the staff and the dentist are rude beyond belief! I wouldn't take an animal to this place. Worst experience of my life. Clearly just a business to this dentist, doesn't care about the kids or the family whatsoever. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THESE MONSTERS.

I would give a zero if I could, very ignorant a s unprofessional. The dr referred to my child as a whining uncooperative child! I will never take any of my children ever again to this office !
