Dr. John received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University with a Bachelors in Biology. He was a four-year letterman with the Arkansas State University Football team. After graduating from ASU he attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. John returned to Jonesboro and established Shannon Dental Care in 1984. He is a member of the Arkansas Dental Association, Northeast Arkansas Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He is married to Dianna Mantooth Shannon of Jonesboro, they have one child, Dr. Jodi Shannon Boling, one granddaughter, and three dogs. Dr. Shannon's hobbies include fly fishing, bird hunting, attending Arkansas State football and basketball games, the Memphis Grizzlies and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Dr. Jodi Shannon Boling, is a second generation graduate of Arkansas State University. Dr. Jodi also graduated with Honors receiving a Bachelors of Science in Biology and graduated the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. She is a member of the Arkansas Dental Association, she is a Board Member of the Northeast Arkansas Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Jodi is married to David Boling of Jonesboro, and they have one child and one dog. Dr. Jodi's hobbies include, painting, pottery, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

I went to Dr. Shannon's office since I was a toddler and have never had a bad experience. The doctors and staff have always been so trustworthy and kind. I was so sad to leave this dental office when I moved out of state. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough.

I have been a client of Dr. John Shannon for 20 years. There is a very good reason for that: he is an excellent dentist. No pain and a great support team. Teri does a thorough job of cleaning my teeth and, like the rest of the staff, is a great, friendly person.
