Dr Desai is originally from Sumter, SC and attended the University of South Carolina, Honors College to pursue degrees in Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, and to complete his premedical coursework. Upon graduation, he moved to Charleston, SC to enroll in the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Dentistry. Dr. Desai then elected to attend residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. This rigorous program gave him advanced training in treating the medically-compromised patient, as well as exposing him to the latest in dental technologies. After residency and years of practice in a pediatric setting, Dr. Desai has returned to Columbia to treat the needs of patients of all ages.
