This the worst dental office I have ever been to. They started to fix my tooth but would not give the appointment to finish the job. After calling over 20 times , I got the appointment but when I got there the receptionist that looks and acts like a gang member said they did not accept my insurance. I call the insurance and I was told that they lied so I put the insurance on line with the office manager. After waiting an hour the doctor called me to his office and said he would not finish the job for the price that the insurance quoted. This is not a dental office, it is CON-OFFICE. Terrible people and terrible service. Someone should put them out of business and take their license from them.

So disappointed with the service and treatment we received. First of all when this doctor sees a person has medical, they treat you differently. Even though he is one of the doctors that Medicare referred him to us. They send for authorization and w e got it. Called office got appointment for next day. They didn't even have my name on their list, when I called them doctor says my mother has not seen been seen since 2016.Eventhough authorization he sent out for approval was dated on January 2021.

So I was Refered me to this people and they literally ignored all my calls and voice .so they decided My calls are not worthy of their response. No wonder they have the lowest ratings anyone could ever have. They do not know humanity at all, and they use everybody's ,they are just thinking about money.

So I was Refered by my insurance to this people and they literally ignored all my calls and voice mails even tho my case was an emergency and I was badly in pain . They probably could see my insurance wasn't the best one to make them millionaires so they decided My calls are not worthy of their response. No wonder they have the lowest ratings anyone could ever have.

I'm very impressed with Dr. Shamsian's practice. His staff is very courteous and professional. They've gone above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and have never kept me in the waiting room for long. Dr. Shamsian is professional and very skilled. He gives you an honest run down of your options and tries to save your teeth. I've sent many people to this practice.

My brother and I scheduled an appointment at the same day, but my insurance isn't as good as my brother. They called me a day before my appointment claiming that the dentist had the day off and I had to reschedule. Yet, my brother never received a phone call and this appointment was never canceled. Ironically, it was on the same day. I stay quit and decided to ignore it. When the day came for my appointment they only took an Xray and that was it. For my brother they really took care of him. This was very upsetting.

This Dentist and Tarzana Dental Center do not care about the well-being of their patients. Their first priority is the almighty dollar. I chose this office because it was near home and they took my insurance. I went in for tooth pain and they told me that I needed a root canal, but that their specialist who performs them was not covered by my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross). They quoted me approximately $1900 (which they wanted me to pay out-of-pocket) for the entire procedure. Of course, unbeknownst to me, they quoted me their top-of-the-line crown. Why? They said it was because it was the most aesthetically pleasing and was cosmetically, the best option. When I told them I couldn't afford it, they offered to finance me through their own financing company. They never told me that they were obligated to find me a specialist that took my insurance. They were banking on the fact that I was in pain, to take advantage of me. Once I confronted the staff member Rosie about this, I was told that she did indicate that to me, but that it would take weeks to transfer the Xrays and get approval from the insurance company. I pressed the issue, and shockingly enough, it only took one day to transfer my information, and this was during the holiday season. Under obligation, they referred to me another office. At said office, I learned that the tooth in question was a wisdom tooth. You know, the teeth that most people have removed. Most dentist's won't bother to do a root canal on a wisdom tooth, because it's too difficult to get all the way back there, and really, what is the point? An extraction from the new doctor's office would cost me $25 out of pocket. That's quite a difference from $1900. Still not sure why I would need the most aesthetically pleasing crown on a wisdom tooth, which is never even seen. But I digress. Unfortunately, I was obligated to book an extraction with Shamshian's office or I would have to wait a month, in pain, to change doctors. The quote I received from Shamshian's office for the extraction was approximately $280 (out of pocket). Almost 11 times more expensive than that other office. I ended up calling the insurance company and asking for an emergency switch-over to the new doctor. I was lucky, and they obliged. I wouldn't recommend Shahin Shamsian or Tarzana Dental Center to my worst enemy. I'm sure someone from their public relations department will be responding to this post, because they can afford things like that, and they can afford fancy Youtube videos of their happy customers, because they over-charge patients in need, so that they may cover up their morally deplorable business model. Shame on you Shahin, and shame on Tarzana Dental Center.

My wife brought my 4 year old daughter here a couple weeks ago. Everything apparently went well. However, her school requires the dentist to sign a form for admittance. I tried to find the office based on the promotional flyer my wife gave me. The flyer lists the wrong address, (5260) which sent me to a rather nice residential street. As well the flyer has a map which incorrectly shows yet another false location on pariprimm street. And yet still when you Google the company name "Tarzana dental center" it sends you 3 blocks away to Ventura. NONE of these address are correct. So I called and other than telling me they were near McDonald's, the assistant could not help me. Finally I found that the address on the flyer had been misprinted. By this time I had wasted well over and hour to find them. When I hot to the office, all I needed was a signature. The doctor stated somewhat flatly that he was too busy to sign the form, this even before I noted his complete lack of attention to detail. If the guy is so rude and so bad at paying attention to detail I have zero confidence that he would not overlook an incorrect dosage or medication error that could, quite literally, kill my child. He lost my entire family's business and having been in the medical profession for some time, quite honestly scares me. I would not trust him with a simple cleaning let alone something as dangerous as anesthesia or medication doses. Look elsewhere if you want someone who won't make mistakes that quite literally might hurt or kill you.
