Dr. Scott Shamblott is a general dentist and the founder of Shamblott Family Dentistry. Dr. Shamblott earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, awarded with high distinction, from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Shamblott also attended the Medical College of Georgia where he studied IV sedation techniques, as well as the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he studied sleep apnea and sleep apnea treatment modalities. He also completed orthodontic training at Faculte for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education and additional orthodontic training at Six Month Smiles.
Dr. Shamblotts many certifications include a fellowship in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He also earned a Conscious Sedation Permit from the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry.
My goal is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to go to the dentist, said Dr. Shamblott. Whether youre afraid of going to the dentist, have had a bad dental experience, or simply need someone who can communicate well with you about your treatment, my goal is to make Shamblott Family Dentistry a warm, inviting place for people of all ages to receive excellent dental care.
Dr. Shamblott is married to Kate, and they have one daughter, Rachel. Rachel makes frequent appearances with her dad on television, radio and video, helping her father connect and communicate with children and teens about their dental health. Dr. Shamblott makes frequent television and radio appearances and is an often-quoted expert on issues pertaining to dental health. He makes his home in Plymouth and enjoys spending time with his family when not at Shamblott Family Dentistry.
Dr. de Llano joined Shamblott Family Dentistry in 2009, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and insight to her patients. Dr. de Llano earned her D.D.S. degree at the University of Minnesota, and has completed post-graduate courses in dental implants, root canals (endodontics), gum disease (periodontics), local anesthetics, medical emergencies and cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, the American Association of Women Dentists, the Twin Cities Implant Study Club, and the Bloomington Dental Study Club.
Dr. de Llano wants all of her patients to leave smiling. Whenever I meet a new patient, I want them to feel completely at ease, said Dr. de Llano. I will work with them to make sure they are comfortable and understand their options fully before we begin treatment.

Wonderful, thoughtful dentists whose priority is making sure you're comfortable while receiving care. As someone who has struggled with dental anxiety, Shamblott is a godsend. Highly recommend.

Wow! I'm so impressed. I was stuck on a Friday with a tooth ache and serious infection. After calling dozens of dentists with no luck, Shamblott gave me an immediate appointment. The front desk staff are excellent. I like their clear and upfront billing. Everyone is kind. My hygienist, Cathy, is the best. She's both technically capable and tells great stories. A true gem. I have little interaction with the dentist, but he's always friendly when he comes in to do his part of the exam.

The staff here are extremely patient and kind. I have been getting cleanings here and it's always a pleasant experience. Recently had a root canal done by Dr. Shamblott and his great assistant (sorry I don't remember your name!!). Besides my own nerves, which they also helped me with, it went smoothly and I recovered fast. I highly recommend this dentist.

My appointments with Dr. Shamblott and his team are nothing short of excellent. He always makes me feel completely prepared and calm for every step of a dental procedure. I am a full time mother of two small children and a nurse full-time. I have neglected my health for some years now including my teeth. This is something I'm ashamed of and embarrassed by. Dr Henson and his assistant Carrie were kind, caring, patient and understanding and made an uncomfortable experience actually pleasant. As pleasant as getting several root canals and several crowns can be. I will be a lifelong patient. I would recommend them to any family member or friend.

So impressed with Dr. Shamblott, Dr. Hanson and their employees! It's no joke... they are professional, kind and reassuring, and operate with a great attention to detail including explaining all sorts of facets to care! The focus on physical and emotional comfort is so helpful. I can't say enough about the quality of care at this clinic!! They also offer a reasonably priced dental coverage plan and lots of financing options if you need help.

If you have bad dental anxiety this is the place to go! Seriously - so informative, took the anxiety serious, and helped me remain calm, and did everything they could to help me be as comfortable as possible- I'm so grateful for them!

I had a friend recommend this place after experiencing dental pain. I have severe dental anxiety and Dr. Henson really helped ease my anxiety. I had a much easier time getting a root canal than I had hoped. Definitely coming here again for regular checkups!

Wonderful, friendly, non-judgmental staff (bc really, how many people ACTUALLY brush & floss twice a day and after every meal?). The hygienist Cathy was a delight, had me cracking up the whole time with her friendly & funny conversation to keep me entertained during my cleaning. They set up my next appt for 6 months before I left, which is good bc I forget to make those far spaced appts later on. Definitely happy i decided to go with them.
