James H. Shambarger, DDS MS grew up in Texarkana,TX. He graduated from Texas High School then attended Ouachita Baptist University received a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Biology, graduating with honors.
He received his DDS from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, TX in 2005. Dr. Shambarger graduated at the top of his class and is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) national dental honor society.
He attended the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, TX for his orthodontic residency. He graduated in 2007 with a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science degree. He returned to his hometown to open his private practice Shambarger Orthodontics in Texarkana.

Dr. Shambarger is first rate and first rate in Orthodontics. The staff is very professional and friendly. The most advanced image quality for teeth is here. The image here can clearly see a cracked tooth and broken root when other X-ray machines cannot. This is important because there are no surprises when repair works begins. You get all your options presented, and your decision is respected. I recommend this business for orthodontic needs.

So I have taken 2 kids to him and he has been wonderful working with him and my kids. They are right down the middle on cost not the highest and an not the lowest on prices. I would recommend them to anyone.

Wonderful experience!! If you are an adult thinking about braces please give them a try. Everyone is so friendly and visits are quick. Wife and I both went into braces after 40 and it is one of best decisions we ever made. I visited the others in town, but Shambarger just had the best customer service approach. So please if you have a goal straight teeth give them a visit. Hands down the best!!!!!
