Dr. Tarak Shah knows firsthand the profound effect that orthodontics can have on a persons life. He had orthodontic treatment as an adult in dental school. The experience not only changed his smile, it changed the course of his life. He knew there could be no better way to spend his career than providing an opportunity for people to uncover the confident person that is often hidden within. Dr. Shahs knowledge and experience in dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontics along with his commitment to providing excellent care to his patients make him a genuine and wonderful orthodontist.
After practicing in Long Island since 2003, Dr. Shahs goal of owning his own practice led him back to his home state of New Jersey. In 2015, Dr. Shah opened his private practice right on Main Street in Marlton, New Jersey. Dr. Shah and his wife, Avani, who joined the business side of the practice, are excited to work side-by-side maintaining and growing the family atmosphere his patients have come to know. They are dedicated to building a future for their twins who were born in 2012 and serving the community here in the South Jersey area.
It takes teamwork and experience to get the kind of results Dr. Shah insists on for his patients. Our clinical and administrative team are highly trained and understand the benefits of functional orthodontics. As knowledgeable and caring professionals, we enjoy the advantages of working in a solo practice because it allows us the opportunity to provide more personalized care and create stronger bonds with our patients and their families.

We are so thankful to Dr. Shah and his team. They have been absolutely wonderful in very aspect; be it dealing with an anxious child or seeing us for emergency appointments. The office is nice and clean and the staff is amazing!!!. You cannot find a better place than Shah Orthodontics in South Jersey!

We highly recommend Shah Orthodontics. Dr. Shah is very patient and thorough and just a pleasure to be around. Mrs. Shah and head receptionist Michelle know every patient well and work hard to make scheduling easy and convenient. All three of my kids have had orthodontics through him and the older two who are finished have beautiful smiles. This is a hometown practice that Marlton is lucky to have as we drive 20 minutes to get there. But worth it!

Dr. Tarak Shah is an AMAZING orthodontist! My son Jay has been a patient of Dr. Tarak for a year now, and I am so very pleased with his treatment. Dr Tarak Shah is very professional and took time to listen to our concerns, explained everything in detailed. At the time of our first visit, Dr Shah mentioned about my son's 2 permanent tooth missing, which was a surprise to us, that none of the other Dentist has mentioned earlier, which proves Dr Tarak Shah highly knowledgeable. The staff is professional, welcoming and pleasant. They are so patient with children and they truly care about their patients! I HIGLHLY recommend Dr. Tarak Shah and his team to anyone looking to improve their smile.

Dr. Shah is a Functional Orthodontist (specific) compared to a general Orthodontist and that makes all the difference. He stopped my teeth from grinding permanently without wearing an appliance forever and fixed my cross-bite, which would have worn my teeth down unevenly. He widened/reshaped my maxilla (top hard palate of mouth), which most Orthodontist don't do. They usually just bend or pull teeth. Spend your money wisely. Go to Dr. Shah and get orthodontic work done right for your child or yourself. It is never too late to fix your bite. It relieves strain on the neck and TMJ problems as well. It is good for overall general mouth/teeth health. My top lip even reappeared because I corrected my top teeth. Being a doctor myself, I understand how well Functional Orthodontics works compared to others.

They are pretty willing to schedule an appt. whenever it is convenient for you, but they do take a while to fix your teeth

Great practice and great doctor! I had braces in the past but overtime my teeth started to shift again, Dr Shah was able to solve that problem so I could have perfect picture perfect teeth on my wedding day! He is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner! His office staff is also very easy to work with! Highly recommend Dr Shah for your orthodontic needs!

Both my daughters are currently patients of Dr. Shah and we're so happy to be with this practice. The whole team makes you feel like a customer, not a number. Dr. Shah comes out to greet me, the parent, personally at every visit to keep me abreast of the progress. Mrs. Shah does an incredibly diligent and thorough job with the scheduling and billing, very professional! I would highly recommend this practice, they create such a family environment and relationship!
