Dr. Vik was recently recognized as one one the top dentists in Colorado by 5280 magazine. He grew in Colorado Springs and Pueblo areas. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA, in 2001. Dr. Vik aspired to be a Dentist when he was hit with a baseball in the mouth around 6 years of age. He remembers seeing his childhood Dentist and recalls the compassionate care and relief of pain that the Dentist provided. He had several reoccurring problems through the years due to the baseball accident and wanted to provide the same compassion and gentleness that he had received. Dr. Vik is married to Jigna and they have two children, Sanam, and Anik. Dr. Vik lives in the Castle Rock area.
Mariah is a Colorado Native and moved to beautiful Castle Rock 4 years ago with her husband and 2 children. They enjoy hiking, camping and exploring anything and everything. She has been in dentistry for 20 years and is currently working along side Dr. Vik as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant.
Shawnna is a Native to Colorado and was raised right here in Castle Rock, Colorado. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been with Dr. Vik for 7 years. She is married and has 2 wonderful boys. She loves to explore the outdoors, watch movies and travel on her free time.
Stacy proudly served her country for 13 years as a Dental Professional in the USAF, and is currently a Dental Hygienist in the office. She received a scholarship through the military to attend Dental Hygiene School at Trident College in South Carolina. She has spent the last 16 years educating her patients on their dental health, while providing exceptional care to obtain a healthier smile. One of her personal goals for each patient is to help relieve your dental anxiety and fears. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband. Traveling to new places is one of her most treasured things to do. She also enjoys baking, being outdoors and extreme sports.
Stephanie is the office manager for Dr. Vik. She has been managing dental offices for 12 years. She is a native of Colorado but lived in San Diego for 20 years. She moved back to Colorado 13 years ago for more opportunities for her girls. She has 2 daughters and a grandson she enjoys spending time with. They enjoy camping, family time cooking together, and concerts.
Samy is a Colorado Native growing up in Greenwood Village. She is studying Health Care administration and professional services with minors in nutrition and child development. She will be graduating in the spring. She is a medical assistant and a licensed aroma therapist. Samy enjoys baking and cooking. She played club volleyball as well as in her school career and now coaches. Her husband and she enjoy hiking, bowling, traveling, and spending time with their nephews and family. They have one dog named Java who is the sweetest pit bull that loves to explore Colorado as well as spend the day on the couch.
Tehenia (T) grew up in Reno Nevada. She went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and graduated with a bachelors degree in exercise science. T then went on to change careers and went into dental assisting school in Colorado Springs to become a certified Dental Assistant. She enjoys softball and played at her college in Durango . She has a dog named Copper. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family.

This is a great office, they're all very friendly, the dental assistants always answer every question I have . Don't get annoyed when I talk pretty much non-stop ! Even with dental tools in mouth I still talk. And Dr. Vick always double checks everything, and talks over everything with you before you leave. I would highly recommend this office. They're great .

Great visit with today, temporary crown came out, and hey had my permanent crown on in an hour. Nice friendly staff and great dentist,. Didn't even feel the shot... Thank you all for everything

I've been a loyal customer of Shadow Rock Dentistry for 9 years now. Dr.Vik is awesome and I highly recommend him for, not only his quality dentistry, but for his excellent customer service throughout the years.

Awesome, awesome! Dr. Vik Kanchanlal is so very calming and his team is great. I always feel like I'm their only client, the are 100% focused on my care. I feel comfortable and safe. I went in to have 2 extraction and was nervous and Dr Vic put my mind at ease and I had very little pain after the novacaine wore off.

Shadow Rock Dentistry is the worst dentistry practice I have ever experienced. The same filling was twice repaired in less than a year - never in my entire life has that happened. A third time before a trip overseas and fully relaying the urgency of the repair and the pain it inflicted and instead they charged for an 'evaluation' - not the repair. I leave tomorrow in horrible pain for 7 days and not a care in the world to fit me in. I cannot say enough about the unprofessional lack of care to patient pain. Go somewhere else if you have urgent needs - they will only 'evaluate' in what you expect to be a day to repair the issue. I made this appointment on May 26th. On June 2nd I came in and having fully explained my situation all they did was take an x-ray to the obvious issue that a filling they installed yet again failed. I have called in regularly to get another appointment and nothing They ruined a trip three years in the making with my daughter as I will sit 18 hours on a flight miserable with pain.

A warm friendly welcome the minute you walk in the door. Stacy - Hygienist is wonderful - gentle bit very thorough. Dr Vik is outstanding ! his patient doctor interaction is reassuring, gentle and calming. My visits to Shadow Rock Dentistry are always a pleasure - give them a try Im sure you will find the same warm welcome by the front desk staff and the attention to detail from Dr Vik and his team.

Wow, can someone say ' EXCEPTIONALLY NICE DOC' this time. Hard to give that review to ' ANY ' Doc in Castle Rock CO so this is a huge compliment! Why this kind of review, because the Man and his staff work on Medicare and Medicaid patients and treat them with dignity and respect regardless of their form of payment. Humane and fair treatment regardless of finances! But isn't that why a ' DOC' takes an oath? To do no harm? Commendable Dr. VIC and staff for your humane treatment of patients. Many had to get on these services during the Pandemic because of the complications that it caused and Doctors like this get that! BRAVO SHADOW ROCK DENISTRY!

I had an awful experience at Shadow Rock Dentistry. I went in for 5 fillings - my teeth were in rough shape after pregnancy morning sickness that lasted 4 months straight & the first year of motherhood. I made this appointment as I am slowly beginning to learn to take care of my own needs again. Before this I hadn't had a cavity in many, many years. When I walked in the receptionists were short with me and one had a rude look on her face. They then sat me down in a chair for my appointment. They barely said anything to me as they took the signed consent form from me and leaned me back and stuck qtips in my mouth. Dr. Vik Kanchanlal arrived and blandly said some general plesentries before he started sticking needles in my gums without warning, multiple times. His demeanor was relatively fine during this, telling me to breathe but as I had no warning, this sent my body into a panic. I was breathing heavily, my heart rate was fast, and I couldn't feel my hands or feet as they had gone tingly and numb. Throughout the procedure I had to ask the assistant for updates as they were never provided. Dr. Vik left without a word after the drilling was done. I was numbed so intensely on both sides of my mouth that I was nervous about not being able to swallow properly. Moreover, I kept biting my tongue because I was so numbed - they couldn't finish filing down my fillings because of this. Dr. Vik numbed me and drilled on the top and bottom of both sides of my mouth, which after talking with others I have learned is likely not standard or recommended. Dr. Vik nor the dental assistant ever slowed down when my panicked state was clear (it's not like I could talk well with an entirely numb mouth), communicated what was going on, or were ever truly kind. This was a painful experience. I didn't expect my hand to be held or anything, but I did expect communication and general kindness and politeness. I work in the service industry and at first I thought perhaps he was having a bad day, maybe he's this way with everyone - I could understand even if I didn't like it. My interpretation of the experience really changed when I heard him speaking very nicely, casually, and kindly with another patient. About a mouth guard. He walked him through all the steps, told him what to expect, congratulated him on an upcoming wedding. He was exactly as you would want to be treated, but for an uncomfortable, painful procedure for me I did not receive anywhere close to that treatment. I am so disappointed in my experience. I don't know what I did to warrant such poor treatment, I don't know if it's because of my Medicaid insurance - whatever it was, their conduct was inexcusable. If I was unwanted as a patient at their office they could have cancelled the appointment and recommended I find a different office. I would have preferred that over this. I was thinking of taking my son there for his first ever dentist appointment. I will never bring him, my husband, or myself back to Shadow Rock Dentistry. I strongly encourage others to do the same. Who knows though? Dr. Vik and their office staff could be just fine to you apparently. I wouldn't take the chance though.

We just recently moved to the area and we're looking for a new dentist! We came across Shadow Rock and since our initial visit, they have taken great care of us! The staff is extremely nice, friendly and professional!
