Unlike a general family dentist, a pediatric dentist has received three years of formal training beyond dental school to address the needs of juvenile patients. The American Dental Association recommends a baby should first be brought to the pediatric dentist when the first primary (or baby) tooth appears, or no later than their first birthday. Your child will undergo treatment that incorporates the latest techniques and advances in the field, to ensure the strongest possible care from the earliest age on.

As one of our veterans, Pamela has 15 years of experience working in dentistry. She is currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix to obtain her Bachelors degree in Business and Management. In her years working with dentists, Pamela has found that her favorite field is periodontics. She has four wonderful children, and in her spare time, she loves to read, cook, and shop. Most of all, though, Pamela loves spending time her kids.
Amy has been practicing dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist for more than 14 years. She is laser certified and is always abreast of new dental technology and techniques. She enjoys connecting on a personal level with all of her dental patients at our Pearland dental clinic and provides them with a thorough but gentle oral hygiene experience. Amy always bases her oral hygiene care on the specific needs of each individual patient. She has two daughters and enjoys traveling with her husband. During her free time, she indulges in the outdoors, crafts, planning parties, and spending time with friends and family.
Brittany Wade is a dental assistant and insurance specialist at Shadow Creek Ranch Dental Specialists. With 5 years of experience in her field, we couldnt be happier to have her on board. Brittany graduated from the College of Healthcare Professions in 2009 and has also gone on to obtain her degree in Business Administration at San Jacinto Community College. She is also recently married and has a beautiful baby girl. In her spare time Brittany loves to travel and document the adventures of her and her family by taking pictures as often as possible. Her favorite field of dentistry is Oral Surgery, so dont be surprised if you see her assisting during your procedure.
TaQuana is another of our Registered Dental Assistants. She obtained her degree from the Coleman Health Science Center, and in her years of experience, she has found that she truly loves working directly with patients, finding ways to make their visits to our clinic as pleasant as possible. TaQuana loves to spend her spare time shopping, playing with her pets, swimming, and most importantly, sleeping.
Sukari graduated from Remington College in 2008 with her certification as a dental assistant. Always an amazing students, she graduated from high school with Honors and from Remington on the Presidents List and with perfect attendance. Currently, Sukari is enrolled at San Jacinto College to become a dental hygienist. Her favorite field of dentistry is pediatrics because she loves working with kids. Their unique personalities and creativity always brighten her day. She has a 7-year-old daughter who is full of energy and very spontaneous, so Sukari is very good on her feet. In her spare time, she loves to play volleyball and kickball as well as shopping and taking trips with her family.

Unprofessional service. Shadow Creek moved my original appointment to a day and time that conflicted with my work schedule -- I told the receptionist this when she scheduled the appointment. I will never go or recommend Shadow Creek again.

I never write reviews but with this experience I had too. I went to Shadow Creek Dental and saw Dr. Mehdizadchs, i was told i had 12 cavities (Sent me into total shock and panic and confusion) and needed 12 Crowns! I was told i had DRY MOUTH which is caused by Diabetes or possible side effects of medication. He told me i needed to go to my doctor to check if i was diabetic because he was almost sure it was caused by something medical. I was in a panic until i was able to see my doctor who told me i was not diabetic. Made appointment with another dentist to get 2nd opinion who requested my x rays to be faxed to them. I called Shadow Creek Dental to request X rays and was told i had to pay $26!! My insurance company ALREADY paid them for the x rays and i have NEVER been charged to fax x rays to another Dr/Dentist!!! I contacted Cigna and was told i shouldn't have to pay for MY x rays that they already paid for!!! I went to another dentist to get 2nd opinion and was told i had 3 TINY Cavities and needed 1 CROWN vs 12 CAVITIES and 12 CROWNS . He looked in my mouth over and over again and looked at x rays and the paperwork from Dr Mehdizadchs and stated he DID NOT see where i needed 12 crowns. I'm in total shock and disappointment!!!

Extremely dissatisfied with how I was treated with concerns I had leaving my 3 year old alone while being examined. Definitely not ok to leave a toddler alone in a room to get examined/work done. Policy or not I was a parent with a concern and they treated me very poorly because of my concerns. The receptionist told dental assistant to release me as a patient because I wasn't willing to leave my 3 year old alone with strangers! My son is 3 years old not 18? So I canceled appointment and my future appointment I had with my other child and both ladies talking to me could care less about my concerns and just released me. BIG RED FLAG!!!!

Great dentistry. They have great customer service, low wait time and make you feel comfortable. I have gone to various dentists before and this time it was different, they went into detail on everything going on with my teeth, they explained everything and how to prevent it. After this quick, in depth dentist visit I feel like a hygienist. They truly care about their patients. I would highly recommend!!

Office staff and dental assistants are friendly but average. Any the hygienist was exceptional. Dr. P has good bedside manner but is visibly nervous when asked substantial questions. While he may provide good care, I'm choosing another dental home because I (ER NP for 10 years) don't respect another member of an healthcare organization that will not perform a service on a child if the parent is in the room. He adamantly refused service when my child has a visible 4mm in diameter cavity with pain. That's like me not treating a child for a medical condition (sutures) if the parent is in the room. While he was nice about it, the refusal is ridiculous, absurd and not a good practice of medicine.

If you want to suffer come here... They don't send scripts to the pharmacy when they're supposed to we called over and over and they never call back! They neglected to mention some post surgery tips, which caused complications afterwards.

Very kid friendly and well organized. Completely different experience from our previous dentist. My son was nervous but the staff and Dr Ellison did a great job of explaining each portion of the exam and keepibg him calm. He's excited alrewdy for his 6month checkup in August.

So happy I chose Shadow Creek Ranch Dental best choice ever! The entire staff, receptionist, dental assistants, SERIOUSLY this is the best dentistry in Pearland. I love the way they break down cost for procedures, everything is so orangized. Dr. M did my fillings and he kept checking with me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. He is very patient and explains every procedure clearly. Dr. Amy did my cleaning and she was extremely thorough with technique and after care details and left my teeth super clean. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist now. After 26 years of no dental care they got me on the right track

First time coming for a specialist treatment. The place was very nice and clean. The staff was nice. Especially the dental technician (the lady who took my xrays-name started with a S) She was so very nice, kind, and attentive and answered all my questions. The DR himself was very effective, quick, and too the point.He did a excellent job on my procedure. The only downfall I would say is the communication. Let your patient know when, what, and why you will be stepping out of the room for whatever reason. Do not just leave them hanging in a trendelenburg position and dont say anything. The only thing I didnt like. But, I would definitely still highly reccomend this place.
