Dr. Hammond and her staff treat each child as if they were family in a relaxed and compassionate environment. We also have extensive experience treating children with physical, emotional and behavioral special needs. We provide weighted blankets, screens above the chairs, aroma therapy, minimal sedation and more to create a calming environment.
With over 30 years of experience serving Iowa, Dr. Hammond has had the privilege of getting to know many families. Throughout this journey, she has been a steadfast advocate of childrens dental health from birth through college. As she embarks on the next phase of her career and returns to private practice at Shadow Creek Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Hammond hopes to treat each child as if they were family in a relaxed and compassionate environment.
Since graduating from the Loyola Chicago School of Dental Surgery with a doctorate degree and the University of Iowa School of Dentistry with a masters degree, Dr. Hammond has set her sights on becoming the most accomplished and respected pediatric dentist possible. Her impressive resume has included associate dentist, educator, business owner of a solo and multi-practitioner practice, and manager of a dental service operation (DSO). Excited to return to private practice, Dr. Hammond and the rest of the staff at Shadow Creek are thrilled to offer the highest quality dental care in a brand new, state-of-the-art clinic.
Tracy has a degree from Des Moines Area Community College in human services and is also a registered dental assistant. She has worked in the dental field for 20 years. Tracy enjoys meeting new people and working with the public to make sure their experience at the dentist is a pleasant one. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with family (her nephews are her pride and joy) and friends, reading, movies, sports and is an avid Iowa State fan.
Carlos has been working in the dental field for over three years and has found it to be his passion. He loves meeting new people and enjoys sharing the perspectives of both patients and providers. Carlos has a beautiful family with whom he loves to spend time, and he is a fan of all things outdoors. He loves hunting and working on various mechanical projects, including vintage cars and motorcycles.
I have been a dental Assistant for 11 years. I enjoy working with families and helping their children. I love spending time with my family which keep me very busy. I have three kids that are my life, we love to travel and enjoy new experiences.
Lauren is a registered dental assistant and has been with Dr. Hammond for her entire career. She is a graduate of Drake University and enjoys working with children and families. Lauren loves spending time with her grandchildren, exercising and is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Roberto is a Registered Dental Assistant and Laboratory Technician. He has been a dental assistant for over 15 years and has been fabricating custom dental appliances for over 20 years. He enjoys working with kids and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Roberto loves spending time with his wife Christina, three children, and new grandchild. He also enjoys gardening and dancing.
