Dr. Paul A. Shadid graduated in 1984 from the University of Oklahoma College of dentistry with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. He began his practice in south Oklahoma City that same year as an associate with Dr. John Channer. Many aspects have changed since 1984, but our integrity and commitment has stayed the same.
Now, we enter into a new era for Shadid Dental Studio. With the addition of Dr. Paul A. Shadid, Jr., we strive to continue to serve south Oklahoma City for years to come.We are committed to providing the best dental care to the community.

Dr. Paul A. Shadid was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He attended Oklahoma City public schools and upon graduation attended the University of Oklahoma, Norman campus, studying microbiology. In 1984, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City and began his private practice that same year.
Dr. Shadid has been a career long member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Oklahoma County Dental Society. He has served on several state and local committees. He has served as a delegate representative to the ODA and on the executive committee for the OCDS as program chairman.
Dr. Shadid has volunteered as a part time faculty member at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He first served as a clinical instructor from 1984-1991 in the department of Fixed Prosthodontics. Currently, he is a clinical instructor in the Department of comprehensive care teaching senior dental students. He was recently awarded the Outstanding Part time Faculty member by the OU College of Dentistry.
Dr. Shadid has been a life long member of St Elijah Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City. He has served his church in many capacities including chairman of the Annual Bake Sale and Food Festival. The event is the largest community outreach and fundraiser for the parish. He has also served on the parish council for several terms and assisted on numerous committees. He is currently serving on the long range planning committee.
Dr. Shadid married his wife Jennifer in 1985. They have raised three adult children whom they are both very proud. Their oldest, Jessica, was recently married and is currently working in Oklahoma City. Paul Jr., graduated from The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, and has joined Dr. Shadid in private practice. Peter is currently a second year law student at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. All three plan to stay in the great state of Oklahoma!
Dr. Shadid has several hobbies, his favorite of which is spending time with his wife and their children. Since the children have grown, he has more time for gardening, fishing, and golf. As an avid sports fan, his favorite entertainment is OU football, and Thunder basketball.
Dr. Paul Shadid, Jr. was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He attended Heritage Hall High School and graduated in 2008. Dr. Shadid matriculated to the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012. He was accepted into the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2012 and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016. In 2018, Dr. Shadid completed a comprehensivemini-residency course in current implant dentistry techniques from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. The year long curriculum included the most up to date techniques regarding surgical and restorative implant procedures.
Dr. Shadid has been a career long member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Oklahoma County Dental Society. He is currently serving on theOklahoma County Dental Society Board of Directors.
Dr. Shadid has grown up around dentistry, with his father as his ultimate role model. The decision to make dentistry his profession has been a lifelong dream, and a vision he has worked hard to achieve. He has a very strong passion not only for dentistry, but the relationships forged within the career. Dentistry is an affiliation between the patient and the dentist, and Dr. Shadid works on building rapport with his patients creating mutual goals and outcomes. Dr. Shadid prides himself on this relationship, and enjoys assisting the patients to obtaining their optimum dental health aspirations.
Family is very important to Dr. Shadid, and he spends much of his free time enjoying the personal relationships that have supported him. Dr. Shadid also enjoys sports and has been called a sports fanatic often. He enjoys watching OU football and basketball, Thunder basketball, and has even been known to make his way up to St. Louis to catch a Cardinals game. Dr. Shadids other interests include spending time at his church, volunteering at Good Shepherds dental clinic and various other dental clinics, playing pickup basketball, and fishing.
