Dr. MacBeth lives in Homewood with his wife, Lisa, his two daughters, Vivian and Louise, and fur-baby, Sandy. Dr. MacBeth came to Birmingham in 2006 to attend Birmingham-Southern College, were he met his future wife. Dr. MacBeth then attended the UAB School of Dentistry and moved to Rochester, MN following graduation, to support his wife in her own medical training. When deciding where to start a practice, Homewood best resembled the tight-knit, family-focused community in which they wanted to live. Dr. MacBeth looks forward to serving this community and hopes to see you soon!
Kathy is the first smiling face you will encounter when you walk into our office. Originally from Louisiana she moved to Alabama over 35 years ago and has loved it ever since. Kathy has two sons and two grandsons. Her 20 years of experience in dental health, office management, team leadership, and patient care are traits that will serve our office and patients greatly. We are lucky to have her abilities, as she helps us meet and greet the community members we long to serve. She is well known for her generosity to others and we are proud to have her in our office.
Dental AssistantShanna Neigoot has been a dental assistant for 22 years. Her comforting presence adds to the calming environment of our office. Shanna received her dental assisting degree from Nashville Technical College. She now lives in Trussville, AL with her husband Spence and their children two children, Parker and Lexi. Just like any other Alabama resident Shana loves football. She also enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and just about anything outdoors

Peaceful, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a retired Air Force officer who has worked at all levels of medicine and commanded two dental clinics. These professionals (seem like a loving family), diagnosed a 40 yo problem.... AND FIXED IT. In less than two hours. State of the art dental care, delivered by compassionate, relatable new friends!

The most pleasant and I dare say, enjoyable, dental experience I can remember. All staff, including desk personnel, were kind and patient with my anxiety and pain. Dr Macbeth took the time to talk to me about my options and offered no pressure with my decision. The procedure itself (root canal) was quick and literally painless. I would strongly recommend Shades Creek Dental to anyone who has PTSD from any previous dental history. I am grateful and most importantly, pain free! Thank you to all who took care of me today.

Shades Creek Dental is a great place to go to! I love that they check for oral cancer every visit and their staff is friendly and helpful!i also have sensitive teeth and they numb them in order to make me more comfortable during the cleaning.

I highly recommend Shades Creek Dental! My experience was truly amazing! I received outstanding care ! The whole staff there are exceptional ! Very courteous ,professional and friendly! I realize now that my previous dental care was mediocre at best compared to the service they provided me ! I will never go anywhere else !

Great service! Staff are professional, warm, welcoming, and friendly. Would highly recommend you to make an appointment there. Everyone was so gentle that I felt extremely comfortable and safe. They talked me through what they were going to use on me and made sure I was okay throughout the entire process. I can't thank the staff enough for such an amazing experience They even came outside to take care off me and helped me to remain calm when my car wouldn't start and I was stuck outside of the office for hours. 10/10 !!

They are kind, they are gentle and competent and take total care of you. And I have had a bridge and crown put in during 1 visit vs. several visits at other places. 100% recommend. I am so thankful for this group.

I could write a litany of positives about Dr. "Mac" and his staff, so I'll leave it at this. If you don't have a dentist, if you are questioning/or in doubt about your current dentist and the practice, contact Shades Creek about a consultation. I've just finished my 2nd procedure and could not be more enthused. Finished my last services a couple weeks ago and everything I posted earlier was the same. 08/15/'22 More work, but I'll offer dittos to my prior responces.

Incredible dental office! Dr. MacBeth and the entire staff are top notch professionals!! Without a doubt, the most thorough dental evaluation I've ever had in my life, and they took the time to explain all the results. I would highly recommend Shades Creek Dental.

Very professional, explained all my options without pushing one over the other and not judgmental about my dental situation and also cared about my pain/comfort level for upcoming proceduree.
