Dr. Shack is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This credential signifies achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements in the specialty of Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery, and recognizes her commitment to providing the highest standard of care to her patients.
Dr. Shack earned her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami. Following the internship, she attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine earning her specialty Diploma in Periodontology. During and after completing the program at NSU, Dr. Shack served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the department of Periodontics where she taught at the predoctoral clinic and lectured as well.
Dr. Shack is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology and the Florida Association of Periodontists. She frequently attends conferences, participates in workshops and presentations and enjoys incorporating the latest technology.
As a Periodontist, Dr. Shack is a specialist highly skilled in treating the gums and bone surrounding your teeth as well as placing and treating dental implants. She has taken extensive laser training to offer comfortable, minimally invasive options in place of conventional periodontal surgery.

DO Not Go!!! I got in the chair at 9:00 AM I did not leave the chair until after 3:30 PM. I was in the chair for six hours while she pulled seven teeth I had a eleven shots of Novacaine and I was still feeling it. She put in a stent in my lower jaw did not even need it!!! I took 16 taps with a mallet to the face absolutely unbearable. Absolutely unnecessary did not need it!!! Everything that she did for my mouth was unnecessary she didn't need to do any of it.!!!! She added in three post I didn't even need them. Cost me $14,000 waste of money. I went to Dr Freeman Orthodontic he said that I did not need any of the work done, and Their job would have been a lot easier. Dr. Shack did not do it at all. !!! She is over priced DONT GO.. Save your money and go to DR. Freeman. I am in your system, you looked me up underneath the Facebook name of PJ PJ that's not how I paid the bill at your office. I did not come in as a patient named PJPJ. Just so you know yes I did get the treatment that I needed I got it from Dr. Freeman.!! Whatever you do just get a second opinion....

Dr. Shack is hands down the best Periodontist I have ever been to, and her whole office team is fantastic too. Not only is Dr. Shack attentive and thorough, but she is also very gentle. In the past, I have gone to other Periodontists who just rushed through my gum graft and never took the time to see if there were any other underlying issues. Dr. Shack was the only one who took the time to view every single tooth and realized I was grinding my teeth which leading to problems with my gums and tooth sensitivity. She is the only one I would ever recommend.

My sister in law recently came to this establishment to get a diagnostic on her gum disease. The so called "Dr." made us wait for nearly an hour and then proceeds to come off with a major attitude throughout the whole appointment! I don't understand what her problem is as we were the ones who should have been angry with her for making us wait for a ridiculous amount of time! On top of that, her prices are ridiculously high for the low quality performance she provides. Save yourself the trip and look for a different, more professional periodontist. I would not let her get anywhere near my teeth!

Dr. Schack has the most gentle touch! Went for a procedure that healed wonderfully and decided to become a permanent patient. Everyone there is super friendly (especially the front desk), very clean office.

Dr. Shack has been a wonderful dentist/periodontist for me. She was easily able to treat a tiny gum lesion that had me seeing numerous specialists prior to finding her. I have loved her techniques and medical knowledge, she has been a wonderful, helpful professional. She and her magic laser machine are a true hidden gem. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of specialized dental laser treatments and other laser treatments therapies she provides.

I don't even leave reviews like but I could not pass on this one. Most of you will agree that dental visit is never easy. But let me tell you. Dr. Shack came highly referred. Very well known for her work. Dr. Shack and her staff made me feel sooooo confortable. She took her time and explained everything. Bedside manner was top notch. All throughout the visit I felt no anxiety at all, safe, no misunderstandings whatsoever.

My 4 yr old son was diagnosed with tongue tie and lip tie. I had my first consultation with another dentist and it just wasn't the right fit. I heard wonderful things about Dr. Shack and decided to see her for a second opinion. She was beyond wonderful. Dr. Shack and her entire staff go above and beyond to make every patient that walks through that door, feel comfortable, welcome and informed. My family and I highly recommend Dr. Shack.

Amazing Doctor, and Staff! I felt at ease during the procedure. I went to this office after getting procedure plan from another office that felt unnecessary. Dr Shack examined me and made a plan for me that made more sense and only what was necessary.

No scars in mouth. 1 visit for all major work 2 follow up visits to see progress then I was released from practice. Dr. Shack is professional, kind, explains and cares. I'm good with all those things.
