Dr. Kristina Svensson grew up in San Francisco. She is thrilled to be providing care for kids in the same neighborhood where she grew up. She became a dentist because it combines science, taking care of tiny people, neat instruments, and teeny precision handicrafts all in one!

Dr. Svensson's experience as a pediatric dentist and a mom have solidified her practice philosophy around prevention, minimally invasive dentistry, and treating all kids as if they are her own. She has extensive experience working with children with early childhood caries and also special health care needs. She is comfortable speaking Russian, Swedish, and Spanish with her patients.Dr. Svensson received a B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where she was in the top 2% of her class, was inducted in the Tau Kappa Omega, Phi Kappa Phi, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Academic Honors Societies, and also received the American Dental Association Foundation Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Dr. Svensson completed her pediatric dental specialty training at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Svensson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an alumnus of the National Health Service Corps for her years of service at a Federally Qualified Health Center in San Francisco. She was an associate professor at the Dugoni School of Dentistry for 5 years where she helped implement the

Dr. Paek received a B.S. in Science Preprofessional Studies and Piano Performance from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Paek served as Community Service Chair for the Columbia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, promoting oral health to local children through the Head Start and Harlem Ivy programs.

Pursuing her passion for early prevention and love for children, Dr. Paek completed her pediatric dental specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital. She participated in local and international outreach trips, including Poughkeepsie, Nicaragua and Cambodia.Dr. Paek is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a board member of the Berkeley Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on staff at the UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital Oakland and has access and privileges to perform hospital dentistry.

Dr. Paek met her Bay Area native husband in dental school and they now live in Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, sketching and learning ways to live more sustainably. She love to spend time with her husband and two lovely pets, Mia (cat) and Loki (papillon puppy).

Dr. Alice Chan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves working with children and is passionate about helping children have positive dental experiences and teaching them to maintain healthy smiles. Her practice philosophy centers strongly around prevention.Dr. Alice grew up in both Southern California and Northern California. She attended the University of the Pacific 3+3 Pre-dental program, spending 3 years to obtain her Bachelors degree in Biological sciences before going onto dental school at University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry for the remaining 3 years.Upon graduating dental school, she completed a year of advanced education in general dentistry. Afterwards, she pursued her passion and went on to complete her pediatric dental specialty training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she served as chief resident. There, she obtained extensive training in full mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia and providing comprehensive dental care to infants, children and adolescents as well as people with special needs. In addition, Dr. Alice is also a part-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at her alma mater teaching dental students. She loves staying connected to the academic environment to learn and incorporate the latest evidence-based dentistry into her practice, providing the best care she can for her patients.Outside of dentistry, she enjoys exploring new places, trying out new restaurants and spending time with her family and friends.

Teya grew up in SF. She graduated with an AS in Health Education and also completed the dental assisting program at CCSF. She has been in the dental field for over two years, and she loves it! She is currently applying to a hygienist program to start a career in hygiene. When not assisting, she enjoys traveling, eating out with friends, hiking, and exploring new places.

Kira grew up in Northern California, and called the Bay Area home for 12 years. She has a BS in Animal Science from UC Davis, and brings extensive customer service experience and humor to her position as patient care coordinator. She recently relocated to Nevada, where she lives on a little farm with her husband, toddler, and a small menagerie.

We highly recommend Dr. Kristina's services. Our kids love her, are 100% comfortable with her and her staff who are so kind, gentle and understanding! (Also, they are always happy to go in for appointments which makes it easy on us parents :)

It would be impossible to overstate how incredible this place is. Dr Kristina was beyond top notch, friendly and knowledgeable, kind and warm. Lena cleaned my daughter's teeth with such skill and compassion, showing her all the instruments and what they do on my daughter's hand first so she would not be scared. I have never had such an incredible experience at any dentist. My child, who was afraid of the dentist, is now totally happy about going. If I could give more than 5 stars to Dr. Kristina and her team, I would! So wonderful.

This is my first Google review. Leaving reviews is important, but it is challenging to find the time. However, this has been on my to-do list for a while. Dr. Kristina and her team, including Dr. Lee, who we recently met, are OUTSTANDING professionals. Their approach to dental care with babies and kids is terrific. All centered on teaching the importance of dental care while making it a pleasant experience for the little ones. Thanks to Dr. Kristina and her team my son loves going to the dentist!

My 2 year old daughter had a great first dentist appointment! Dr. Svensson was silly, fun, patient AND knowledgeable, and was able to see inside my daughter's mouth without a fight and I find that to be astonishing.

Clean and modern and easy to get an appointment for my two sons (aged 1 and 3). Dr. Svensson is a magician with kids, speaks Russian, Spanish and Swedish, and is all about prevention.

Amazing! She is knowledgeable, caring, thorough and compassionate. All of the kids love her! I have seen her put even the most anxious of kids at ease by introducing them to everything she's going to use and showing them the steps with her own drawings. She even teaches at a dental school so you know she is big on prevention and using evidence-based dentistry :)

Nice office, filled out forms on my phone, seems to be a strong focus on prevention and how to actually brush my toddler's teeth -- which I have not been successful or confident with before! Dr. Svensson had a lot of patience for all of my questions, her explanations were great, and above all my toddler was happy even after her checkup. Only downside is not in network with Delta Dental.

My young daughter had the best experience with Dr. Kristina Svensson -- she made her first visit so comfortable and fun! She was smiling and giggling as Dr. Svensson showed her all of the dental tools and gently spoke about what she would be doing during the exam. As a parent, I'm very grateful to have found such a wonderful pediatric dentist who cares deeply about her young patients -- the positive experience there has made teeth brushing much easier at home too. From the friendly front desk staff and ease of filling out electronic forms, to the overall great exam experience and follow-up correspondence...I'm definitely looking forward to bringing my son for his first visit in the near future!

I was very nervous to take my pre-schooler to her first dentist appointment, but Dr. Kristina cared for her perfectly. She talked my little one through every step making her cleaning educational, developmentally appropriate, and fun! A cavity was found at her cleaning. We just got home from her filling appointment. Dr. Kristina may have done too good of a job because my child just said "I love cavities, I want to get another one so I can go back tomorrow."
