Dr. Rabinovich is a Board Certified physician with advanced training in Oral Surgery as well as Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. Educated in both medicine (MD, SUNY Downstate College of Medicine) and dentistry (DDS, Columbia University), Dr. Rabinovich is an expert in Dental Implant Surgery and bone regeneration procedures, Corrective Jaw Surgery (Orthognathic and TMJ) and Facial Reconstruction (Trauma and Cleft Lip / Palate deformities). He successfully performed several thousand of dental implant and bone grafting procedures, conducted clinical research and authored a number of medical articles.
Dr. Rabinovich grew up in San Francisco and attended George Washington High School in the citys Richmond district. He went on to pursue his interest in science at UC Berkeley where he earned a Bachelors degree in Environmental Biology, graduating with honors at the top of his class.
He began his medical training in New York City, where he attended a prestigious Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, graduating with a DDS degree. Dr. Rabinovich continued on to complete his medical school training at the State University of New York, Downstate School of Medicine, earning an MD degree. After graduating from medical school Dr. Rabinovich underwent residency training in General Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings County Hospital, well known for its busy and rigorous trauma and facial reconstructive surgery program.
As a surgical resident Dr. Rabinovich developed a special interest in Craniofacial Surgery and was selected to pursue a fellowship at Georgetown University / Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery. During his fellowship Dr. Rabinovich had the opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading surgeons in the field of Head and Neck Surgery from Georgetown and Johns Hopkins Universities.
In addition to his passion for facial cosmetic surgery, Dr. Rabinovich has a tremendous interest in reconstructive facial surgery, including cleft lip and palate and other congenital and acquired facial deformities. He participates in medical missions abroad to perform free reconstructive surgery for children in need.
Dr. Rabinovich lives in the San Francisco Bay Areawith his wife and two sons. He enjoys travelling and outdoor activities, such as skiing in Lake Tahoe and scuba diving. He is excited to be able to apply his knowledge and skills to care for his patients in a safe and comfortable environment in our beautiful state-of-the-art office.

He received his oral surgery certificate from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1998. Board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2000, he was re-certified in 2007. No one would believe me if I said that I enjoyed having my tooth implant done in the office of Dr. Rabinovich, but it is true. I was prepared to endure pain, but there was none! I only felt pain at home when anesthesia wore off, but it took only 1 tablet of pain reliever to subside. That's it - no pain, no swelling - miracle! My friends were surprised to hear that I only had it done yesterday when we were having dinner at a local restaurant. To compliment Dr. Rabinovich' excellent work, his stuff was extremely friendly and accommodating, I didn't have to wait in the lobby - it was all very patient-centric and nice. Thank you, Dr. Rabinovich for your exceptional care and super friendly stuff!

I highly recommend Dr. Rabinovich and the staff. The procedure was explained and all my questions were answered. Excellent Covid-19 procedures are in place. My appointment was on time and handled very capabably by the staff and Dr. Rabinovich himself.

The staff was very helpful and helped me fix the reimbursement issue from my medical savings account. Dr. Rabinovich was excellent and professional. A lot of work was done in minimum time. My major work was done on the same day as I went for consulting. That saved me a second trip. I highly recommend his services.

I was seen on an emergency basis in a lot of pain that I had been experiencing for over two weeks. Anyone reading this review that has had any experience with an oral surgery going wrong, you can understand my extreme circumstance. I say this to say I could not have had a more patient and understanding experience. Dr. Rabinovich patiently listened to my expressed concerns in deciding upon a course of treatment to alleviate my pain and initiate my healing ptocess. The staff was also most kind and put me at ease. Thank you.

I highly recommend Dr Rabinovich. I live in Miami and traveled to SF to see him for I did not want any other surgeon to handle my dental implant procedure. I did my research on Dr Rabinovich beforehand and interviewed him during the consultation process and was impressed by his technical abilities and sincerity. Dr. Alex and his team are the best. These folks actually refunded me money when my treatment plan didn't cost as much as they quoted. Who does that? I hope I don't need more oral surgery ever, but if I do, I'm going back to Dr. Alex.

When I arrived for my appointment, all the staff members were friendly and provided me with information I needed before my procedure and Dr. Rabinovich was very caring and understanding doctor. He answered all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable before and during my surgery. I didn't feel anything and by the time I was awake from the anesthesia, I was done with the surgical procedure. I have two more appointments with him and am already looking forward to it.

Professional but very friendly. I was in of a proceduer that I was anxious about. Every perosn I dealt with was very confident that they knew exactly what to do and that made me have confidence the procedure would go well. And it did.
