Dr. Sexson grew up in both Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. He became fascinated with orthodontics, at age 13, whileundergoing his own orthodontictreatment. He never lost the desire to become an orthodontist throughout his many years of school.
He received his dental degree fromSouthern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He then attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where hecompletedhis residency in orthodontics and earned hismasters degree in the specialty of orthodontics.
Dr. Sexson is a member of theAmerican Association of Orthodontists,Illinois State Dental Society,Chicago Dental Society, and several local dental societies. He is also actively involved in the communitys Childrens Dental Health program featuring the Give Kids a Smile campaign and treats numerous patients through theDonated Orthodontic Servicesprogram.
Insurance and Billing We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Sexson Orthodontics, Ltd. does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you.

Your Total Case Fee is just that, period. It includes the cost of initial diagnostic records, orthodontic appliance placement, treatmentvisits, removal of appliances, the first set of retainers, final records and retainer visits. There is an additional fee for clear brackets that will be included in the total case fee.We alsooffer Crest WhiteStrips Supreme Professional WhiteningandMI Pasteseparately for patients that need extra care for their teeth.
It may not seem like a big thing, but Dr. Sexson believes inhisstaff staying up-to-date on current issues as well. Our doctors and staff attend seminars onissues ranging from providing great customer service to advanced orthodontic techniques. Rude and blamed my daughter for retainer kept breaking. I switched doctors and I had to jump through hoops to switch. Unprofessional

I agree with other recommending to go elsewhere. The staff is rude, unaccommodating, and unwelcoming (especially the office staff). I also have to agree with the gentleman that stated you're just a paycheck.. they charge for everything and are not willing to help figure out solutions if scheduling issues arise.

Extremely disappointed. My retainer broke so I went in for a new one. When Dr. Sexson first put the new one in, I told him right away that it did not fit correctly. He said to give it a few days. The new retainers ended up shifting my teeth so much that my bite would not close. After a few days, my jaw starting hurting so I went in to have it corrected. Instead of fixing my retainer, Dr. Sexson insisted on filing my teeth down on two separate occasions. Three visits later, I gave up and asked for my money back. I felt like Dr. Sexson did not listen to my concerns. It was such a simple procedure: replace my retainers with one that would keep my teeth in their existing positions.

Out of all the orthodontists I've ever met, Dr. Gary is by far the best I'd have to say. He's very kind, he listens, and he knows how to crack a good joke.

They charge me about $70 every time I come in to get my hawley retainer tightened (I got my braces off about 8 years ago but my retainer always get loosened every so often). During the ~$70 visit, I am in the chair for less than a minute and the clinician that tightens my retainer does less than a minute of work. This visit should be free or much less considering the amount of labor that is actually done and the fact that they produced a poor quality retainer that require constant adjustments. Don't come here since they produce low quality work that they will charge you a lot of money to get adjusted. I am soon getting Invisalign through another orthodontist since my retainer always gets loose and causes my teeth to shift.
