Dr. Eddie White has lived in the lowcountry most of his life, graduating from Wando High school in 1978, then Furman University in 1982. He completed his dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC in 1986. Since Dr. Eddie White opened Sewee Dental Care in 1998, he has become an integral part of the dental community in Mt. Pleasant, helping thousands of patients become more involved in their dental care.
Dr. Eddie White's wife Laurie is a dental hygienist and they have three children- Clay, Ivy, and April. His interests include anything that allows him to be outside with friends and family. He also owns Awendaw Green, a local music venue that features local and regional artists in weekly showcases.
Dr. Ivy White is also a lowcountry native following in her father's footsteps, graduating from Wando High School in 2012, then Furman University in 2016. She also completed her dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC in 2021. She has been a team member at Sewee Dental Care for the last 10 years in different capacities, starting as a receptionist during her summers in college and becoming the Office Manager. She is excited to begin her new role as a Partner Dentist at Sewee Dental Care with her dad as a third generation dentist!
Dr. Ivy White's interests include watching her backyard birds, tending to her garden, reading, and cooking for her family! She is passionate about integrating patients oral health with their overall health.

I am so very happy that someone recommended this practice to me. Dr. Eddie White and his staff are all very friendly and efficient. I have never had to wait a long time before being seen and Dr. White has done some work on my teeth that I'm extremely happy with. He also saved me from having a lengthy and unnecessary procedure which would have turned out very costly.

I had a perfect visit with Sewee Dental Care today! From the front office, to the x-rays, to the dental chair, and to the office where my teeth were cleaned, I experienced a warm welcome and an Aplus staff. I ,especially, enjoyed looking at the birds, trees, squirrels, and greenery while waiting to have my x-rays explained. Dr. White is always a pleasure, and helped me understand my x-rays. everyone was extremely nice they made you feel comfortable from the time you walk in the door, they don't make you wait long for your appointment, the atmospher of the building is very comforting, I really don't like going to dentist but the experience of there was very pleasant I will brag and will promote there business
