Dr. John graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with high distinction. She has also received awards in analytical chemistry and biochemistry. Dr. John graduated from theUniversity of Detroit Mercyin 1998 and completed a general practice residency in dentistry at Albert Einstein Medical Centers in Philadelphia, PA. In 2003, she completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens, NY.
Upon her return to Detroit, she assumed the position of Division Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. Her hospital experience continued at Detroit Receiving Hospital as a full time attending surgeon working closely with the residency program.
Dr. John is fully licensed and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She has been trained extensively in dentoalveolar procedures including extractions, implant and bone grafting procedures, orthognathic and trauma surgery, as well as oral pathology and anesthesia.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. The entire staff is amazing! My son had to have all 4 of his wisdom teeth removed and he was in pain. They got him in immediately for an x-ray and consultation and happened to have an opening the next day for the surgery. All the girls there are super nice and helpful. Highly recommend Dr. John and Seven Oaks!!!

Had a referral from my dentist, and was able to get in the same day I called for a tooth extraction. Entire experience was a good one - as much as an extraction can be good! Doctor and staff were very professional, and explained the procedure and after-care thoroughly.

Thank you Dr. John and staff for a positive experience. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. Dr. John listened, asked the right questions, explained everything to me and reduced my fear of having dental work done as Ive had some very bad experience in the past with other dentist. I was having an extremely painful toothache for three days over easter weekend. I called seven oaks first thing Monday morning they where able to squeeze me in the same day and extracted the tooth that was giving me so much trouble and now I am pain free and healing up with no problems . Dr.John and all of the staff where amazing. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I have been to the Oxford location of Seven Oaks several times and each time was an excellent experience. Yesterday I went to the Lake Orion location and was impressed with each and every employee and Dr. Carolyn John. Everything was throughly explained and everyone was professional yet made you feel like you've known them forever. Highly recommend these oral surgeons.

Dr.John is wonderful. She took time to explain everything before my surgery. I felt safe and the staff helped keep me calm before my surgery. Everyone was very professional and they took excellent care of me. I have had two surgeries with them now and I am very happy with the care they provided. I was scared to go under Anesthesia but the staff was great with me and helped take my fears away. The aftercare was excellent as well. They provided me with lots of informative paperwork and did a fallow phone call to check up on me. Vary caring staff!

I had a horrible tooth ache on Christmas eve and couldn't even open my mouth all of the way (great timing right?) I contacted Seven Oaks the Monday after and they squeezed me in and took my wisdom teeth out the next day even though they were fully booked. Very thankful and I highly recommend them! I now have no pain.
