Life Before Dentistry.... David J. Laing, DDS was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Herndon High School in Virginia and soon after he joined the U.S. Army where he was an airborne combat medic. He has served in the Army Reserves for a total of twenty-one years and recently was deployed to Camp Shelby, Mississippi in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Laing attended Northern Arizona University where he double majored in Geology and Chemistry.
Early Dental Life... Dr. Laing attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2003 he traveled to Oklahoma City where he attended a General Practice Residency (GPR) at St. Anthony's Hospital. The GPR further developed his surgical and endodontic(root canal) skills and provided him with training in intravenous sedation and wisdom teeth extractions.
Dental Life Today... Dr. Laing has practiced dentistry in the Houston area since 2004. He is extremely committed to serving the oral health care and cosmetic needs of Katy, TX and surrounding areas. Dr. Laing provides full service dentistry from simple fillings to complicated wisdom teeth extractions under IV sedation. He has experience in treating medically compromised patients as well as mentally challenged patients.
Life After Hours... Dr. Laing married in May of 2005 to his beautiful wife Amy Fillman, DDS, a member of his dental school graduating class. Dr. Laing and Dr. Fillman moved to Katy, TX in 2005 where they now reside with their three sons, Cole, Collin, and Connor, and their miniature schnauzer, Zoey. In his free time Dr. Laing loves to spend quality time with his family and likes to play sports with his sons. He and his family enjoy baseball games, hockey games, and watching movies.
Life Before Dentistry... Amy C. Fillman, DDS was born in Pasadena, TX. Her family soon moved to Deer Park where she and her younger brother Travis were raised. Dr. Fillman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Deer Park High School in 1995 and went directly to College Station where she attended Texas A&M University for four years. Dr. Fillman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a minor in Psychology. GIG 'Em Aggies!
Early Dental Life... Dr. Fillman received a scholarship to attend Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Baylor's great clinical program in 2003 and was accepted to an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Oklahoma. The AEGD residency program provided her with in-depth instructions of implant and cosmetic dentistry, as well as fully developing her surgical and clinical skills. Dr. Fillman's training in the placement and restoration of implants has been beneficial to may patients.
Dental Life Today... Dr. Fillman has practiced dentistry in Houston since graduating from an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in 2004. She is tremendously skilled and strives for perfection in all that she does. It is attention to detail that makes her a great dentist. Dr. Fillman is extremely precise and treats all patients as she would treat her own family.
Life After Hours... Baylor College of Dentistry is where Dr. Fillman met her husband, David Laing. They married in May of 2005. Dr. Fillman and Dr. Laing now reside in Katy, TX with their sons Cole, Collin, and Connor, and their miniature schnauzer, Zoey. Dr. Fillman loves playing with her sons and watching them change as they grow. She also loves to travel.

I went here for cavities, and they will accommodate you if the issue is urgent. Clean office, friendly staff, overall very good experience. I will be staying a patient.

We have had great experiences with this office. The location is perfect for us. I have been a patient as well as our five year old twins. The staff is professional and trustworthy. In addition to being spacious and clean, the office has a calming environment. Treatment not pushed. Highly recommend! Thank you to Sue, Jennifer and Dr Laing for making our trip to the DDS a breeze with our twins. Friendly front office ladies as well!

They have always been professional, helpful and courteous in trying to accommodate me and any concerns I might have. If there can ever be great dental experience, this is it. The staff is always so kind and patient. Dr Laing is the best dentist we have been to in our lifetime for sure. We moved and we now drive 3 hours to see him. He is the only provider we drive back for.

I'm new to the area & didn't have a dentist. So very glad I found Seven Meadows. The young lady who answered the phone was pleasant & very helpful. The staff in the office was so nice, explained everything & even though I am nervous about going to the dentist my experience was very good.

Always a great experience! My hygienist Jennifer was amazing. Dr. Laing and his entire staff are so professional and friendly. It's really nice to be greeted by your first name when you walk in. And they get everything submitted to my insurance without need for follow up.
