A native of Jacksonville, Dr. Barry P. Setzer received his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia and received his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Setzer entered private practice in Jacksonville in 1977. He is Chief of the Section of Pediatric Dentistry at Wolfson Childrens Hospital and has been affiliated with the UF Jacksonville cleft palate team for over 42 years. He is a courtesy assistant clinical professor at the UF College of Dentistry and courtesy assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, UF College of Medicine Jacksonville.
A native of Florida, Dr. Stephen D. Cochran received his D.M.D. from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He completed his residency and received his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Cochran entered private practice in Jacksonville in 1993. He earned hospital staff privileges at Wolfson Childrens Hospital and the Nemours Childrens Clinic. He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is active with multiple local, state, and national dental organizations.

The experience with this dental group was amazing from the first call to schedule my 3 yr olds first appt. The staff from frontdesk check in and check out was amazing. The Dental assistant was so patient when my 3 yr old did not want to take xrays but we made it happen. Dr Cochran was so awesome and helped ease all our worries about our sons surgery and he even engaged my son and made him feel so comfortable that he was happy to let the doctor check his teeth and even let the assistant clean them. I cannot express enough how wonderful they all are. The surgery coordinator was very sweet and shared her stories of her children and made the scheduling experience great as well. I've already made an appt for my 7 yr old and I know he will love it. The whole office decorated for kids with real life Nemo and dory in a tank and gifts for the kids.

First time visit was AMAZING from the time I walked in to the time I left my daughter experience was everything. I can't remember the individual name who assisted us for the cleaning visit she was awesome and the Doctor himself was very nice and upfront and mentioned everything that needed to be done to my daughters teeth. Can't wait to go back highly recommend.

We had an fantastic experience. Their office was able to get us in on an emergency visit, the dental assistant and Dr had phenomenal bedside manner and explained everything in great detail. Their front desk was equally as pleasant to work with and we would highly recommend them based on her first experience.

I had never been to this dentist before. When my daughter had an accident on the playground I was referred to this office. They were able to see me (my daughter) almost immediately, which I know was difficult for them since they had a full schedule that day. Everyone I interacted with was kind, patient, and friendly towards me and my daughter. The office was very clean and inviting. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here, and I'm definitely going to continue bringing my daughter here, even though it's rather far from my house. Update: I've been to this dentist's office three or four times now with my daughter and every experience has been great. I love my dentist too, but there's a small part of me that wishes I was a kid, so I could be a patient here. It's just a really pleasant place.

This was our initial visit with the Dental Clinic and Dr Soares. We we're running late and we received a call from the clinic to check on our status. They were friendly and supportive. The clinic was kid friendly, nicely decorated. My children were excited to see and play at the gaming waiting area. All the staff were seasoned and professional dealing with the kids and the families. Dr. Soares and team worked well with my children, making them feel calm and comfortable. Dr. Soares bedside manner was excellent. He had a great rapport with the children and me. We're very happy we were able to have our children referred here. Thank you!

The office staff never disappoints. My oldest has been a terror at the dentist before (bc he's scared) but we let my youngest go first and the hygienist explained everything so well and helped him feel so comfortable throughput the appointment so by the time it was my eldest child's turn he was excited to have his teeth cleaned. I love this practice!
